There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are F3S windshields just for looks?

Took my new F3S out for a long ride yesterday and the wind bounced me around quite a bit. Evidently
the stock (small) windshield is just for looks. So, anyone have any experience with taller/wider shields
that they would like to pass their experience/opinions on to me. The factory shield looks good and
does do a fair job of routing the airflow over my head but with 11 years on a Goldwing, I must have
lead a sheltered life. Feel free to jump in here.

Thanks in advance!!

Contact F4 Custom Windshields, love mine.....

Top SHAD Case

hi. Can you tell me what model top case Shad do you have and what kind the rack mount do you used?

Thanks

well u prolly won't believe it,:shemademe_smilie:but we bolted it right through the rear seat: why?>>>> no one is gonna ride 2 up on that F3 and she wanted to have it so we can put a backrest on the case too.
The Model of SHAD is a SH45. It holds a full size helmet and a tourmaster intake 3.0 Jacket with armor and a couple bottles of water and some room left over. It's just the right size.

Bought Laminar Lip

I drive my Spyder F3-S 90 miles each day to work. I have the Blue Ridge windshield. Got tired of the turbulence!:banghead: Bought a Laminar Lip today. I will send pictures and results next week when it is installed.

My 2015 F3 CalSci XL Xwide 25" high vented shield gives great wind protection, quiet, no buffeting.
(I built DIY Aluminum side mounts for moving F3 shield closer to driver for similar wind protection of RT Spyder shields).
The F3 CalSci shield is thick, curved, vented, clear, solid; comes with CalSci mounts & hardware to bolt on.

put BlueRidge away...raised gauge cowl

As an interim step I raised my gauge cowl up. Got the idea from another member on this forum. It works well. Takes the wind off of my chest, helmet is in clean air. Ultimately will look for another solution, but it works...

Cheers,

hi

Buy an F4 and never look back. They are a little higher in price than other aftermarket shields but in this case you truly get what you pay for. You can actually clean them without worrying about scratches, they are optically correct, and will last the life of your bike

Agree with F4, took a trip to Streetsboro, Ohio last year and Don and crew installed what I guess was the 1st production run on a 28" tint on my F3S, 14,000 miles later it still looks like new...
