• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Apple Car Play download initially failed! NOW Finally available....

I'm not going to install it yet. I will wait a little bit and see what problems arise on this thread. In a sense, you guys are my test rats. :joke: :2thumbs:

Hmmmmmmm I thought the small print said AA was coming also. Oh well foiled again.

The fine print does say AA "coming soon" or something to that effect. It was never promised on Day 1 like ACP was though. Someday you may get AA but given how long ACP has taken I wouldn't hold my breath for it to come anytime soon.

Super happy to have Apple Car Play after a long wait. One problem is that the Phone doesn't work nor the push to talk.
Symptoms: I can call out but I can't hear the party I am calling and they can't hear me. It seems the call is connected if you look at either phone but no voice.
When using the push to talk button one sees the response on the screen but will not take any instructions. So I can't say "call Donna"

Why are you trying to call my wife?;)

I just picked up my 2024 spyder RTL from the dealer; it was in for service due to the dreaded U0155 error code. They loaded the current software which included ACP. I would have preferred not to have it since I don’t have an apple phone. However, since I have it, has anyone tried any of the converters that allow android users to use ACP devices? If I can connect my android phone via ACP and utilize google maps, I’d be a happy camper…

I could not download it from my wifi, wouldn't connect so I took it to the dealer. They installed it and it works, can it be operated by the handlebar controls. If so enlighten me please.

I had to ride down the road to where there's very few WiFi signals. Then it will connect to my phone's hotspot at least to d/l the update. I haven't tested WiFi yet after the update but it rarely will connect to my home WiFi, even with great signal strength. I've tried probably 100 times, with 1-2 successful connects at home. It just seems to be overwhelmed when there's 15-20 other SSIDs showing up at the same time. I can't connect to my phone's hotspot at home either.

I don't think the handlebar controls will do much with ACP. Either use your voice, or finger on the screen when you're not moving. I suspect it ignores screen input once you're rolling.

So after many failed attempts, wifi dropping on spyder issues I finally got acp installed now the problem is it does not connect to my phone or Sena headset where it always did before, and won’t even let me delete my phone and try to repair it. I select it then select forget this device and it does nothing and keeps the device it can’t pair too. So many little issues with the interface, sure wish it would just work properly. Thinking may have to disconnect battery and start all over again now or do a reset all and try that first.

I would try the full reset option. I am going to do that as well since I had the previous ACP release and who knows what detritus that left behind. I want to start with a clean slate, including wiping my headset's bluetooth connections as well and start from scratch.

I also have a Sena SR-10 that I would like to put to use. We ride with a couple on a HD Triglide with a CB. My Cardo spirit HD headset however has only two bluetooth channels. Channel A is paired to my iPhone and channel B is paired to the Spyder. Both connections necessary for ACP. Does your headset have more than two channels? If it does then pairing to the SR-10 should be easy. You also say that you want to pair your Garmin. Now you are up to four pairings. Maybe a mesh headset has that capability. I don't know.
I don't know what to do other than installing a second headset somehow to my helmet dedicated to only the SR-10. Yes I know that involves speakers and a second mic. I don't know if I can stuff all of that inside the helmet. Let me know if it works for you.

I have tested my 24 RT ACP and noticed it works as intended, but I can hear music through my Cardo headset, but when I receive a phone call, I see it on the screen, I can answer it, but can’t hear anything through my Cardo headset.
Also, I don’t hear any messages when I click on messages.
Anyone else have this issue too?

Agree, everything seems to work OK with handlebar controls, can access all the icons on the Spyder screen, Navi, music, etc. but haven’t tried making or receiving phone calls. Will try it tomorrow, have my wife call me and see what happens. Will have to have her send me a message too….

I am also experiencing Phone issues with my 10B Sena headset.
Maps, Radio, and music all work fine.
Reading online last night, I noticed the BRP communication headset is USB ver5.0
I am thinking it has to do with older headsets. Anyone with a USB ver5.0 experiencing issues with ACP phone function?

I just did some checking on my 24 spyder RT ACP system.
I know that when ACP is active, you BT connection with your iphone will be broken. But also found out when ACP is greyed out, (no headset), My iphone will connect with the spyder only when the USB cable is disconnected, as soon as I connect the USB cable the BT connection drops.
Any one else see this problem?
Thank you for the posts about not hearing phone calls through your cardo head set, I guess I am not alone.
