• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone use cyclecare products?

I just had my spyder “tattooed” as my wife calls it. (Custom hand painted pinstripes and a mural) They recommend using a product called cyclecare. It’s a two stage product, base #3 is put down once or twice a year and then use a #33 finish whenever I want to clean afterwards. It’s pretty expensive at $66 a gallon for each. Anyone ever use this product? It says it’s good and can be used on all plastics, chrome, poly windshields, metals, fiberglass. Wash with water apply base #3 coats then apply finish #33 coat. For afterward washing, Wash with water and apply a #33 finish coat each time up to 7washes. Repeat the process by applying a base again. I’ll be honest, I’m pretty cheap when it comes to cleaning. I simply use water with a wash/wax RV soap and then pledge after 2 coats. I believe this guy, he’s one of America’s best and at many of the major spyder rallies and bike rallies from California to Daytona to Americade along with many in between for over 50 years with every award possible from cars to bikes. Just checking on product reviews.

Looks pretty interesting. I have a lot of custom paint as well that I'm debating how to best protect or if wax is the only option. I talked to a place that does those paint protection films and they said if the paint isn't baked on (i.e., under clearcoat, which it isn't), the film can literally peel the paint off when they work it into position. So if this stuff is harder than wax it might be just the ticket.

Cool. The website seems to say it's the opposite usage though. #3 first, #33 as touchup.

Cycle Care Formula 33, is designed to be used as a quick-fix or touch-up on all surfaces that would normally, or previously be protected by Cycle Care Formula 3, and is great for touring touch-ups. (Note: Previous Formula 3 application not required, but recommended).
