There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anyone have experience with the Madstad windshield?

Soon to be Ryker owner looking at options for windshields. I own a madstad for my NC700X and it’s probably the best windshield made for that bike so I am partial to that brand, just trying to find anyone with experience using that windshield on the Ryker. Any other windshield experience with the Ryker would be welcome also. I did search windshields on this forum and got info on Calsci and a few others. Thanks in advance from the new guy

I am using Lamonster's Puig Dark Smoke windshield. Easy to install and works great. Works better than the stock windshield.

Here is a Link to the Madstaff-They make them to order and I like the adjustability height and angle as long as its Not terribly hard to tilt and get the trunk open. I like it better than the Calsci looks wise. I have a MFA universal highway shield cut down on the bottom. Its better than stock but for winter I will find something bigger OR ride the F3....

Was hoping someone on this site was running their windshield so I could find out first hand how much trouble it is to get to the frunk. I really like the adjustability they offer so one way or another you should be able to get the smooth quiet air on the highway. Oh well, guess I'll be the guinea pig. :)

Have the Madstad on my f3s and my V storm, have been able to get smooth air on both, I am pleased with their products.

I’ve just fitted the Madstad to my Rally.
It was straightforward to fit and is easy to adjust but you do have to change the position to fully open the frunk lid. Only done about 50 miles so far but it does provide better wind protection over the oem screen.

Which size did you go with? Is it quiet behind the windshield? Trying to decide whether I will be able to hear music from the jbl cruse speakers..

I went with the 22”. I’m 6’3” and at it’s low setting and a 55 degree angle I can comfortably look over the top.
Wind noise seems ok but I wear a full face helmet with Sena speakers so hadn’t thought about it with respect to an external audio system.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the windshield this morning, got the 20” clear, will be picking up the trike this afternoon!

Let us know how hard it is to till to open the trunk? They don't give the width #s Only Height- Would love to know low width and High width in inches.

I may be prejudice BUT... I have 3 of them right now
one on my Spyder and one each on my Honda's, for my money
their is no other. They adjust up down forward and back...
Now if you just have to have another brand then only buy the
the Madstad mounting hardware and attach your other brand winshield to it
ONLY my opinion

I like the idea BUT how hard is it to change higher after you close the trunk? If you have to loosen and tighten screws to open the trunk its not user friendly. I do like it and they sell separate windshields you can mount .

I’ve had Madstad shields on numerous bikes including my F3L. Works very well on all. I am 6’5” tall so they made a special 24” tall clear for me.

This shows the measurement for the 20"- I measured 12 inches just like the picture and it was 1 inch shorter than my windshield but would be just right for me and can adjust up 2-3 inches. The Cast acrylic (To Me) seems much more glass like than the plastic used in the Calsci windshield. When I left it in my basket I got an EMail with a 15% off code to use if I finish the order!!!

I called and the Ryker windshield is said to be 20.5" Wide Down Low (Including Curve) and 16 wide at top before the corner curve.

Still researching?

I went to their site but didn't see anywhere to order just the mounting hardware. Do you have to call to buy it separate, or is there someplace else to order just the hardware? Just wondering what the difference in the price is.

Good point! I didn't see any either and they seem to have a good selection of separate windshields to go with a frame?
