There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

Just to let you know it is entirely possible to pull a trailer with a Ryker. Here is a picture of my setup. I am in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and last summer pulled my trailer from here to Sturgis SD and back without issue. That trip was a total of 5000 km.

Would love to see more pics of your hitch/wiring setup. What does your trailer weigh empty and loaded? Any more details you can share? Thanks!
For this setup to work you have to have installed the Slingmods luggage set. If you zoom in on this picture, it should show you enough to get a good idea of how I managed to get this to work. It took me 2 years to figure out how to add a trailer and I think this is the best idea. However, it's not cheap, because you need the luggage. Any questions, just ask and I'll do my best to help out
The empty trailer weight is 60lbs I think, and you can carry up to 100lbs cargo. I have definitely had it to that weight. For the wiring, I just tapped into the rear lights and converted the trailer lights to LED for less current draw.

Could you please post a few more pictures on the bracket? Get in close so we can see what you did please?
Older thread, but I’m interested in this as well because I’ve towed a CycleMate CM 1000 utility trailer behind my ’95 Kawasaki Concours for years. Several years ago I won a set of Delkevic slip-on pipes for the bike at a COG rally down in Helen, GA. Unfortunately, they weren’t compatible with the HitchDoc trailer hitch I had on the bike due to their upswept angle. A friend gave me an unused Unigo hitch he had for a Concours, but its arrangement was considerably different than the existing standard-type coupler I had on the trailer. It did, however provide a platform I could whack up and modify to use so I didn’t have to destroy the HitchDoc to make it work….. JIC I decided to take off the Delks and go back to the OEM mufflers. Turned out great and it provided the use of the trailer as a suitable grocery cart when picking up our vittles in the midst of the pandemic crisis. I still use it this day for large grocery orders, picking up large loads of oysters, or hauling long guns to the range for target practice. The Connie and my other two bikes are my preferred vehicles of choice for running errands and general transportation. My poor RAM 1500 only saw 200 miles of use during last year’s inspection period; it’s been that way for quite a while.
Unfortunately, after riding for over 57 years, old age has eventually caught up with me (approaching 81) and the weight of the Connie has become a little intimidating, so I started looking for a three-wheeler. I found a loaded low mileage 2022 Ryker Sport Ace 900 a month or so ago, and it, or my two lighter bikes have taken over errand duty. I do miss the use of the trailer, so I was wanting to see if a hitch was available for the Ryker. I saw a hitch on a Spyder, one our members had on it at a COG rally over in WV in August but could never catch up with him to ask about it. This was before I got the Ryker so it would have just been for information purposes, so I wasn’t too concerned at the time. When I got the Ryker and saw the “No Trailers” statement in the Owner’s Manual, that was a little disheartening. But like some of the above comments about other CVT laden utility / farm vehicles above towing trailers, I figured it was more of a liability statement than anything. I saw loads of similar comments about towing a trailer with a bike when I first started doing it, but most of those comments were from the uninitiated that didn’t know poo about what they were running their mouith about. Yes, it can be dangerous if you’re reckless with the combination, but if common sense prevails, you’ll be fine. Heck, simply riding a bike can be dangerous too, so what’s the point of discussion? And quite frankly, I’ve had more people pulling out in front of me in the last month when on the Ryker than I have had in the last few years when on a bike. I have added brighter LED head light bulbs, a set of LED aux driving lights to make myself more conspicuous, and a very loud set of air horns should those fail (which they have a couple of times).
Since it doesn’t initially appear any commercial hitches exist for the bike, I may have to fabricate my own, We’ll keep an eye out for what other have done since I prefer to not completely re-invent the wheel, but just work off the ideas others have successfully applied.

My Ryker came fully loaded with the full SwingMods luggage package and the Ultimate 2-person seat, so we're ahead of the game in that dept. But, as much info of the detail work would be most appreciated.
My trailer is a 2-wheeled Cyclemate CM1000. so its weight, tongue weight, and capacity is much greater than yours. I can compensate and load for the latter, but the base package is what it is.

A closer look sez you didn't. The hitch points all appear to be to the SwingMods luggage rack system.

A closer look is also obvious that it is a one wheeled trailer.
I might be expecting too much out of my Ryker with the trailer I have, but we'll continue to assess the possibilities. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Okay, I have an idea in my mind’s eye but need to get some thinner gauge plate I can easily (and more quickly) cut out into some forms with my plasma cutter that I think will work. Also eliminates the need for any longer bolts to test it out to see if it’s even feasible after tack welding the bits together. I do have one concern, but the mock-up should show if it could be a real problem.
Cardboard, or heavy-duty pasteboard would certainly be easier to work with, but I need something with some body to it so the shapes will stay somewhat true.

I put together a trailer almost identical to this when I had my Miata. It allowed for a couple full-sized suitcases, which wouldn't fit in the tiny trunk.
I got the 40x48" trailer from Harbor Freight or Northern Tools, and a rooftop carrier. It worked great, and I've seen 120mph with that little thing behind me. LOL
I have an F3S SM6 that I'm considering fabricating a hitch for, just in case my wife and I want to take it on a weekend trip.

Interesting, I've considered a Miata, but there is absolutely no storage in that thing. Small trailer might be the answer.
