• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Design Tweaks on the newer Spyders over the earlier versions??

Does anyone know whether or not the newer VIN models are built any different than the earlier models that first started production last year? I know generally speaking that being the first production year, change usually happens to new models either during that production cycle or more likley the following year. Anyone know if its better to get a late or early VIN model if one has a choice? ie: 1300-1400's vs. 200's?? Thanks for your feedback. :doorag:

Lamont,
Ive heard rumors that BRP will be making some general announcements in Feb or March. Have no idea what, possibly company direction, possible changes or additions to the line, etc. Have you heard anything more than just rumor on this?
(Im hoping they announce a touring version....LOL)

I've heard rumors too but until it shows up in print on the BRP site it's still just a rumor. ::)

:agree: There's a lot of things being said about BRP doing this.... or doing that.

Only they truly know what's up.

If it is a rumour, it seems to be a rumour with some legs. Here is a portion of the transcript from the Can-Am Talk forum chat that took place on Sunday, December 16, 2007. The Spyder Marketing person was Mark Lacroix, Product and Public Relations Manager for Spyder:

[thedirector] Hello. Is BRP working on development of hard bags and/or a full touring model
for 2009? Thanks.
[BRP Can-Am Spyder Marketing] Indeed, our Accessories department is working on a
number of new items. We can't announce anything today...expect more news in late February
08. Stay tuned on this site and on spyderryder.com

So there you go. It looks like BRP is committed to making some sort of exciting announcement in relation to touring accessories later this month.

Cheers,

Bruce
