Any concerns with buying a 2017 F3 with only 1200 miles?

Considering buying a 2017 F3 with only 1200 miles on it. Should I have any concern about mechanical problems from sitting around so long without being driven much? Anything I should do right away (replace fluids, etc?)
Thanks!

I recently bought a 2017 F3T with 1750 miles. No issues, No problems.
Check the fluids and pressure in the tires. Ride and get to know the bike.
Consider getting a laser alignment.
Prepare for an oil change at 2000 miles and enjoy.

First, Welcome to SpyderLovers! Questions I would ask: Has the bike ever been serviced after purchase? When? Has there been additives added to the fuel? Has the battery been kept on a maintainer? If not, I would expect it should need replacement. How has the bike been used? Lots of 10 mile trips or a couple bigger ones. Is the bike still covered by warranty? If so have it transferred to you.

If it hasn't been serviced since new, that needs to be done based upon time and age. Along with replacing the original battery. I would plan on spending 6-7 hundred to have everything brought up to speed.

Could be a sweet heart of a deal. Good luck..... Jim

I recently (March) bought a 2018 F3L with 198 miles showing. I just finished a 3600+ mile trip with it. Not a single issue. I would say if it looks good, go for it. I would change the oil and filter right away though and just give it a thorough look over.

This is pure conjecture, but for what it's worth, what I have seen on this forum, the 2017 F3L/T seem to have fewer issues than other years. At least that's been my experience with mine.

Have the dealer run the VIN #. That will give you the service history, if there is any. First service is recommended at 3000 miles. Based on the fact that it is a 2017 with only 1200 miles, I am guessing no initial service has not been done. Because of the time gone by, I would say the oil and filter should changed out at minimum. An overall check of the other stuff would be good also.

If it has not been in the shop for repairs, that is a good sign. F3 is a nice ride, and if its a good one, you should be good to go.

I'd do an oil change and a fresh battery, and then ride it like I stole it.

Yes. Make sure you have roadside assistance and maybe an extended warranty. My 2015 F3 broke down In May this year at 18,700 miles. The front pulley wore out. That is a common problem known to happen at 18-24,000 miles. Can-Am should have done a recall on that in my opinion, but didn't. Enjoy your new F3.

If you just staying in town and not going anywhere far away.
Check the tire pressures, you need a straight air pressure tester, buy a good one.
Jump on it a ride it.
When you put it away at night throw the battery maintainer on it for the first little while.
Read the manual, get used to all the buttons, i.e.: turning off the turn signals and enjoy it.
Wash, polish it, do all the regular checks and service it this winter
Don't overthink it.
Cheers
Al

If its been garaged, tender on battery, grab it and run. Put in some fresh oil after you've driven it a bit. My '16 F3T bought early last year with 1600mi on run like new. Zero problems.
