• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

any chance Nor-Cal Spyder Rally coming back?

Nor-Cal however you define it is culturally starved compared to the rest of the state. With that being said we have some of the most beautiful scenery to be seen anywhere in the country. Beware though, last year's fires have diminished the scenery significantly. However, within 30/40 minutes you can go from 500 ft elevation to 4/5/6K ft elevation in any one of three directions. Some locations have so many tight steep turns you have to shift into 1st or 2nd to safely negotiate them and you can even get a glimpse of your own license plate. That would be on highway 3 over Scott Mountain or on the road through Lassen Park. When my wife and I take off for a weekend jaunt it ends up being a minimum of a 180 to 200 mile round trip. Most people don't like to ride that far at one time. But then there are some short rides if you can't take the thin air.

I hope the Nor-Cal Rally is reinstated. It has been a great ryde
with wonderful people. I'm sure we can drum up participation
from northern Nevada and the Battle Born Spyders.

We came down from Canada to Nor-cal from 2016-2019, last one that happened. We really enjoyed the people and locations.

We have also been wondering if was going to make a return.

Where in Norcal was it held? I'm sure it would be closer from Pahrump Nv than Deadwood SD.

I believe in Oroville, California at one of the Indian Casinos. Never been there but I would guess the Deadwood run would be a larger event.

In September 2018 was held in Orville CA. at the Gold Country Casino Resort.
Put on by the Sacramento SRA Group. The rooms were fantastic, I not only had
a jet bathtub, I was furnished with 3 little ducks who felt at home with the bubble
bath I always carry in my trailer!:p

Squared Sway was there doing installs repairs, maintenance and oh yes alignments:clap:

All who attended received tee shirts and patches.

Can-Am stopped subsidizing the events, I believe, and then COVID-19 hit. I think some organizers lost momentum and may have had trouble keeping the volunteers and vendors motivated. Large rallies are not my cup of tea, but I think they're good for Spyder community cohesion, so I hope this one returns in some form.
