• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 Ryker Rally - Rattle in Drive Shaft/Under Seat at Low RPM/Speed - any ideas?

Good to read that you are happier and more confident than you were initially and the BRP explanation does have merit especially item 2. You had a new engine just breaking in as well as a new power train: belt CVT clutches etc. breaking in and you were probably being super careful with the new the throttle on the new toy resulting in the CVT opening and closing and even to the point where it may have caused the secondary to rock back and forth in the freeplay area resulting in the knock that you heard. Most of us would just hear that intial clunk on engagement forward or engagement reverse.

Thanks for the update and enjoy your ride.

The clutch set up on that bike is like the system on snowmobiles and such, and I have found that some clutches are nosier than others, hopefully this is what you're hearing!

I have a school near me and have to sit in stop and go traffic. I have noticed the clutch engaging and disengaging while crawling along at really slow speeds. It's annoying, but I usually just get some space in front of me then crawl at a speed that works for me. I've never noticed any noises, but I'm usually listening to music in my headset anyways.

I've never heard my wife's '20 Rally make this noise. I'll check it out next time I pull it out of the garage. It may have made the noise and I just ignored it because of it being an automatic. I'll let you know.

Jason, I couldn't tell from your video if it's the same racket, but I wanted to let you know my bike has always had a clack-clack-clack at slow take off, forward and reverse. The service tech said it's normal and more noticeable on some bikes than others. You'll find posts about it in the various FB groups, too. My bike is coming up on 18,000 miles. Good to see you are enjoying your ride!

I agree with Sarah. As I read through this thread, it all started to ring a bell. I wear earplugs, so I remember feeling this chattering effect as a new Ryker rider, not hearing it, especially when my bike was new. I had read somewhere at the time that it was normal and might improve as miles were accrued. I don't even think I notice it now. I wish I had seen this thread earlier so I could have thrown in some reassurance.
