• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Antenna delete

Has anyone just flat out removed the antenna and put anything else in its place? We never use the onboard audio, as we listen to our own music genres via our phones. Just curious if anyone has come up with anything clever to replace the antenna with. Or, is there a "plug" of sorts to put in the hole in place of the antenna?

Presuming that is your RT below (helps to know model and year when asking a question), Yes, there is a cap color matched to the tupperware available from dealer.

If you look at same spot on left side you will see a cap there, some people remove it to add a second antennae !

Get in touch with Mike***... I think that he went to a hidden antenna. He then plugged and painted the hole that was left.

Like you, I never use the OEM radio. That "whip" antenna just kept getting in the way. I unscrewed the OEM unit, went to the auto junk yard, and got a small one that comes with the new cars these days. Just unscrewed it at the junk yard and screwed it in place on the Spyder. On a 2014 ST Limited it was a 2-minute fix!
PERFECT!

F3T

I don't know about an RT but I took my antenna from my F3T and laid it down flat under the passenger seat instead of drilling holes and relocating it to the topcase. I too never listen to the radio, Spotify has an offline availability that works great.
If needed I can still pick up the weather channel.
