• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

another gun control problem we might be facing

Hi John,
Actually; the discussions in here have been pretty darn civil...
Let it ride! :D

An issue of this importance is bound to have lots of differing opinions. As long as when the disagreements remain based solely upon the topic being discussed, and not the personalities of those doing the disagreeing; we're good!

I can't wait for "barry the habitual liar" to get his sorry azz out of the White House.. he picks & chooses the laws he likes... but he dam sure loves the millions he has stashed away courtesy of under the table kickbacks...

How about for the few that actually get sent to prison serving real sentences. not half off for time served or good behavior or for changing your socks.

well stopping those on a terror watch list & the mental wacko's to me is a start.

In America, we have a thing called due process. Just to level set us all on what that means:

Due process is the legal requirement that the state must respect all legal rights that are owed to a person. Due process balances the power of law of the land and protects the individual person from it.

A person doesn't have to be proven of any crimes to be placed on a terror watch list (and have fun wasting time trying to get off the list). In fact, I haven't seen any information by the government on WHY someone gets placed on the list.

What is the criteria? Becuase I sent an angry tweet to POTUS, because I didn't comply to answer questions on US soil at a border control check point that's 100 miles from a border, because I choose to opt-out at the airport metal detectors, because a federal agent observed me leaving a gun show with a bunch of ammo on a dolly, or simply because of the color of my skin...

Now... Let's talk mental wacko's.. Because I saw a psychiatrist after my father passed away and was prescribed some anti-depression medication because I may or may not have made a comment that the psychiatrist interpreted as low level risk to self-harm.. Should I have my rights of Dr. - Patient confidentiality discarded so this one incident can be noted in some federal database and used to strip me of my rights years later?

It's not black and white...

I'm now going to exit out of this thread. Peace be with you all!

 There's no doubt that the "No-Fly" list can be interpreted however the current administration chooses to do so...
The term, "mental wacko's", is just offensive... :gaah:

Concerning "due process" when denying someone their 2nd Amendment rights . . . proposals to forbid/delay a gun purchase by someone who has a protective order against them is also bogus. Anyone can go to a judge and say they "feel like they're in danger" from a given person and a restaining/protective order will be issued. The target of the order doesn't even know about it until after it's issued!

a protective order is a joke, if a person is out to get someone and you tell him or her that you have a paper that says they have to be so far away from you, do you really think the person would care

Share holder

Has anyone given any thought that Barry may own shares of stock of the major gun manufacturers? Think about it. How many years in a row now has he been America's #1 gun salesman? Just thinking. Sometimes the less than brightest bulbs surprise us.
Another problem we have is the enormous number of people in our country who are uneducated, under educated or just plain naive to what is going on around them.

Pretty sure he meant "ballot" (a means of voting) and not "ballad" (a pleasant piece of music.)

I assure you I've never voted for a liberal progressive.
