There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Another Excellent Service Review

As reported in a previous thread (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?97159-I-m-now-in-the-club), a week ago I discovered that there was a leak in my airbag, and the compressor had burned itself out trying to inflate it. I called RideNow in Chandler, AZ to see when I could get in to get it checked out. Surprisingly, I got scheduled for the very next day.
They took it apart while I waited, and after about thirty minutes, Jim the service advisor came out to tell me that they would need to order the airbag and compressor, and my Spyder would be in the shop for about a week. The parts have to come from Canada, so this is understandable. We're in the worst riding weather of the year here in Arizona (August), so I don't mind being without a bike for a week. I arranged a pick up from a friend, and went home.
Meanwhile, I ordered Doc Humphrey's "Air Ride Rock Armor", which arrived two days later (Thank you Doc!). I stopped by RideNow, and gave it to Jim, asking if they would install it while they had everything apart. He said they would be glad to do it!
Six days later, I got a call from Jim telling me that they had completed the work, but in the process had discovered a problem with a brake line. He explained that they would need to order the part, and it could be as much as another week. I was fine with that.
Three days later, this Saturday, I got another call from Jim saying that the part had come in and they had completed the work. My Spyder was ready to pick up. I'm in the middle of a tune-up on my broom, so I told him I'd pick it up Monday. All told, it was in the shop ten days. It would have been a lot less had they not had to wait for parts to come from Canada twice.

There's a common misconception that it's impossible to get service on a motorcycle if you didn't purchase it there. This is not the case. Everyone in the service department at RideNow is aware that I didn't purchase there, and in fact had posted a very negative review of their sales department. This is my second superb experience with RideNow Chandler, and so far, I have seen no evidence of them providing anything less than stellar service to me.
If you live in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend them for service on your Spyder.

P.S. Had this not been under the factory warranty, it would have cost me $1,500.00. While I was there, I purchased the BEST extended warranty for $660. I highly recommend this, as just one incident like this pays for it.

Here's a positive review of service from RideNow Peoria, west side of Phoenix, that I would like to provide! I bought my 2016 RTL from them and so far have had 3 different service visits of which all were professionally completed! The first was a cat delete and 2 Brothers exhaust install, the next was a laser alignment, and lastly an oil change! On all these visits the work was performed professionally and at a reasonable price negotiated in advance and twice under the estimate! All the service was normal routine items or fairly straight forward maintenance! Twice I was met by a service advisor from Can Am who was there to answer any of my questions or just talk about my Spyder experience! There was some negotiating on the price of the laser alignment, so it never hurts ask if they will price match other service providers! Overall I would not hesitate to recommend RNP, and last a shoutout to Dave Waters my service advisor! Cheers Jim :f_spider:

RE: Did not buy it there. There seems to be less reporting about places refusing to work on or putting a non-buyer to the back of the servicing line--as in, "it will take three weeks before we can get to it."

I think they are either getting the message or maybe even BRP stepped in. :dontknow::dontknow:

I did buy my Spyder from them! But I have been standing there when other Spyder riders popped in for service , while on the road for service and tires, and they bent over backwards to help them! As far as modifying my Spyder I had a long discussion with them about the importance of helping Spyder riders modify their machines! Half the fun of ownership is making your Spyder your own! They agreed and did not hesitate to pull off my cat and put on my cat bypass that I bought from Lamonster! Plus I wasn't asked to sign any warranty waivers! I think they are getting the message that there is more money to be made by happy customers than being half ass about serving the people you want to sell to! Cheers Jim. :yikes:

I think they are finally figuring out how little business sense it makes to turn away a profitable service job because the customer purchased elsewhere. Not only does the "house" come out ahead financially, they have the opportunity to redeem a potential sale in the future. Now that I've had a couple of good experiences with RideNow Chandler's service department, I may be willing to forgive the sales department for previous dreadful experiences. Who knows, I may buy my next Spyder from them.

Where do I get a BEST warranty?

P.S. Had this not been under the factory warranty, it would have cost me $1,500.00. While I was there, I purchased the BEST extended warranty for $660. I highly recommend this, as just one incident like this pays for it.

Can I purchase a BEST warranty for a 2010 RT? Still learning about being a SpyderMan!

I get serviced at Motosports in Hanover, PA, ninety miles from my home. I didn't buy there. Last month I damaged my Spyder - I dropped it off at Motosports (without an appointment) on a Tuesday at 11:30 AM. They needed to order over $1200 worth of parts to repair it. On Friday of the same week, they call and told me it was ready to pick up.

There are lousy dealerships - like where I bought mine, and everyone gets lousy service from them. There are also great dealerships, and they take care of anyone with a problem.

The trick is finding a great dealership. There are several, out there - Pitbull in Springfield is also a great one. Last year, on a cross-country trip, I arrived there while SpyderFest was in full swing - I needed a 4,600 mile service and had more than 1,000 miles to go before I got home - they fit me in for a service, same day I arrived.

Please add a positive for Smith and Marine in Montgomery county PA. Friendly honest and a HUGE Can Am dealership as far as stock. They give good deals and treat you fairly. I found them after I bought the bike. Will go to them for all now!
