• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another Dead Horse, maybe.

When we left for our journey, the Spyder had fresh oil and the coolant level was at top line Full. I checked it again this weekend and it was between the full and low mark. In learning the Spyder, I found that if the level in the plastic container cannot be seen, it is low. The plastic does not interfere with the sighting of the coolant level. When I first checked the level for myself, it was below the low mark, which makes me question the dealer ever checking it before we took possession. This check was done with about 4000 miles on it. Just the little bit that I filled up to get it to the full mark (the coolant capacity is about .84 gallons, which is not much) caused the Spyder to run one bar less the majority of the time. I had never run 3 bars (interstate) unless it was in the 60s. Now I run 3 bars (interstate) until it gets close to 90 ambient. Just posting this, hoping that it can help someone else with the heat problem.

I still have the splash plates on.

In 93 degree heat here, high humidity, riding at 60 mph, I consistently run at three bars. You must have had a cooling glitch there somewhere.

Him and about 12,000 Spyder more, you are the lucky one. I seldom see three bars unless the byke is cold, but I only have the Spyder since June and the lowest temperature I remember riding on here in Houston was 88F.
