Neither is likely correct. The digital is probably closer. A GPS on a straight, level road will tell the tale. Or you can just go like gangbusters down your local road and see what the cop says. :roflblack:
Just remember to keep an eye on your speedo so you yourself know what speed you think you were doing. Otherwise, you'll have to take the boys in blue word for it or try it all over again!
Seems to me that the boys in blue don't really care what speed you think you were going.
No, but they'll tell you what they saw, just before they write it on that ticket...LOL.Seems to me that the boys in blue don't really care what speed you think you were going.
Did he tell you how fast you were going??I go by my GPS for true speed, my digital reads 2% low and the anolgue is way to hard to read at a glance in MPH. I set my speed to 1 mph over the posted speed limit to keep tail gaters back, the cruise is amazaingly steady on my RT but now and then it will drop a mile per hour due to terrain. I was followed by a patrol car down the highway and we both ended up stopping for at the gas station. He commented on how well I rode, that I used my turn signals and how steady the speed was maintained (very nice guy by the way).
In today's technology, we are all so tuned to want to be "exact", we have become paranoid over everything.
I notice that both my speedometers are displaying different speeds. The didital speedometer reads 2 mph higer than the analog. Which one is closer to being correct?
