There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Alternative Hotel for the Can-Am Spyder Owners Event

Gotta stop on the way and eat some Portillos for sure.... always do when there.......

And don't ask for any ketchup!

That weekend is also the "Taste of Chicago"... so it's gonna be BUSY.

Yeah, even though the "Taste of Chicago" sounds intriguing, and the BRP dinner is Friday night at Bubba Gump Shrimp on Navy Pier, I am thinking the traffic will be horrible. It is buy your own dinner, not provided, so we will probably just opt for the pizza closer to the hotel instead of heading into downtown. Have to check with Brian, but I am thinking he may prefer that as well.

ketchup on what:roflblack:

On the hotdogs...... They can always tell an out-of-towner when they ask for that......

I can almost taste one now... ahhh..

Someguy & I are now confirmed at the Candlewood.... very cool that it's so close to you and Chris. We'll see ya there!

Yup--- the more we starting thinking about it.... the better being a bit in the burbs would be nice.

Mike and I are coming in on Thursday---- might catch some downtown Chicago fun that night. So we'll be at the Candlewood Thurs-Fri-Sat and leave Sunday open for whatever (Sunday testing doc ??? :roflblack:).

Although now that I think of it--- 3 of the 5 bikes 'tested' broke down (Debs gasket, Seth's shaft bolt, and Jebbs bearings) :yikes:. Only thing I broke was my ego after getting beat by a GIRL.... :roflblack:.

We really didn't ryde em that hard... I ride like that all the time.

Can't wait!

I agree. My "taste of Chicago" will be whatever great Chicago restaurant we pick to eat at those days. I don't have much interest in going downtown for the BRP meals, especially if we have to pay for our own food. I'm perfectly happy to stay near the motel and Lehman mansion.

Looks like the party is at the Candlewood :ohyea::yes::2thumbs:

Hey Lamont! Good work! Sounds like a GREAT place you found there.

I'll be right on time. As always, you know you can count on me! Yep! Right there ready to go, for sure this time!

Ahh...When did you say we were leaving?

Remember to bring those extra exhaust gaskets for Deb, I'm sure she'll be needing them! :roflblack:

You could always leave later and team up with the Florida Express--- and get there before you even left :roflblack:

I just booked here also. They said about 26 rooms booked already. Now what to do with the kids? Daughter just turned six last week so she will be ok with taking care of her 3 y/o brother right? Actually we have family up there so would we get a demerit for trailering up to drop off the kids, then riding in from there?

The dealer in Lake Villa is Nielsen Enterprises, I think they even have Sunday hours still.

Bob Chin's Crabhouse isn't too far either, but definately down for pizza, Portillo's, or rydin down to Bubba Gump's.

Is there a way to find out what route the ride up LSD is gonna be?
Maybe if we don't want to go all the way down to the start we can catch it along the way.

as a matter of curosity.... How many are going to be at the alternative motel???

Anyone want to join the Florida Express??

So I guess all of you who plan to stay at this hotel will not head down to the Friday meet and greet?

I can't speak for anyone else but I do not plan on riding back into Navy Pier Friday night for the meet and greet. I'm sure some who decide to stay at this alternate hotel will go in for the meet and greet. :chat:

If you've never been downtown during the taste, it's quite an experience.

Make sure you don't eat for a few days before... everything there is fantastic... and a bit pricey. Portillos, Uno's, Lou's... all in one place!

Along with a sea of 3.5 million people as far as the eye can see. :gaah:

Might not be a bad idea to get everything in one place, but it is a crazy busy place.

I plan to... not make any plans :doorag:

Wife and I will see you there!
