• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SpyderQuest

Are we live yet, yes we are! The Dates for SpyderQuest 2016 are 9/7/16 - 9/10/16 with some vendors up and operational the afternoon of 9/6/16. Lots of surprises in the works and some I have info now, but let me get the motel info out so you get your end going and for those that have to get time off.
GEL will again be the host hotel at $104+tax/night and the online code is 090616SPYD. http://ww...w.sixflagsgreatescapelodge.com/
Ramada is also the overflow host hotel again. Call for reservations and tell them you are there for SpyderQuest 2016.http://www.ramada.com/hotels/new-york/queensbury/ramada-glens-falls-lake-george-area/hotel-overview There direct # is 518-793-7701 to call in your reservation and the room rate there remained at $99+tax/night.
These rates are only available to registered SpyderQuest guests. We have not had a problem with this yet, but we are now able make sure it does not become one. Since having enough rooms could become an issue, we sure don't want someone else not involved, in them. Speaking of rooms we have been able to add 25 rooms to are count this year.
A few things new to our guests this year. Closing will be at the theme park across the street from GEL, a stones through from the Giant wheel posted below and SpyderQuest registered guests will be able to ride it and get a few picture from high above free at the start of the closing ceremony. We have access to 2 huge pavilions there, one of which will house our rides if weather is bad. Another thing GEL has made available is the water park on Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm to everyone with a SpyderQuest 2016 lanyard and it doesn't matter where you are staying. How cool is that? Meet and greet will remain on Wednesday. Friday evening we our looking to add an event to share with the dinner cruise. Looking at adding a few more rides, I can think of 3 already.
SpyderQuest by many of our guests is know as the "best spyder event in the country" and some now are saying the "world", and I believe we are the second largest. What ever it is to you, we are doing whatever we can to raise everyone's bar year to year.
Hope to see you there.

Well.....

How come this is a weekday event, and not a weekend thing?

With all that we do,
you can't cram it into a weekend....
However, Saturday there are rides, and Farkle Bingo at the Closing Ceremony!

Any provision for Camping??

Title says it all. I'm into travel and pitching a tent at days end.:2thumbs:
I will be (hopefully) riding from Pittsburgh, PA.
I'm new to the site. I haven't seen many posts related to tents
or trailers for Camping.
