• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Almost bought it yesterday!

It just wasn't your time yet. Glad to see everything turned out ok. If I had a dollar for every close call I've had on 2 or 3 wheels, I'd be able to afford an F3!

I lived and comuted over 20 years in So Cal. Video didn't startle me at all. You can do 80 to Zero in a heartbeat on any freeway there. That you could find time or dare to one-hand-it while continuing on, tells me it wasn't that unusual to you. and I know those carpool, uh, HOV lanes are brutal.

I get it ! I know the bike rider and car relationship there is adversarial. Please , the Spyder does not the same "escape-ability" as a motorcycle. I'm thankful I no longer have the gotta get there mentality that soaks CA.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

:gaah:Not to sound mean , but you do have proof of the violation. Which in your instance could be construed as reckless operation on the OPR. part.......just sayin, and glad you survived .....Mike

What gets to me about these jerks (to be nice), they acty if you did something wrong, when they were clearly at fault

Idiot! It is not that that guy is a bad driver - he probably does not have a license, or citizenship, or insurance. He just does not know the laws, and breaks them. Frequently. Sad.
Naturally, CHP will do nothing about it. Also sad.
Be careful - the bad ones are everywhere!
:agree: about the bad ones (Idiots are everywhere) Glad that you are ok. Deanna

Agree with that but if I die, at least my wife and family will know what happened and take action if needed. It's not about saving my mangled body it's to provide the facts should anything happen.

Good idea about the camera. Deanna

Its the paint I think

I believe BRP has developed stealth paint as many times as this happened to me usually the driver is on the phone or in deep discussion with other occupants of the vehicle because that is why they drive and not ride.

Bottom line..... If you ride anything you always have to be alert and ready!

Video edit explains it... Sorry for my French in the video.:mad::mad:

This is why I always wear a camera when on my commute to work!

Bob

Do you ride with your Bright Lights on. I also had a couple of close calls within a week of buying my Spyder.
I started riding with bright Lights on and haven't had one now in a year, knock on wood.
It might piss a few people off but I think that it is much safer.
