• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Airhawk cushion on ST

Anyone put an Airhawk cushion on an ST?

Only one size available and seems much bigger than the stock and/or comfort seat.

I use a Medium Cruiser size on all my :spyder2:s'

Bought mine before there was an R.

I do not use the straps or tie downs. For me its sit and ride. When I park it, I frunk it or trunk it.

I'll have to look, all I saw was one size.

I use the Airhawk R on my ST. Works quite well for me after I figured out the sweet spot for air quantity.

My experience is that Gel pads get clumpy, they are hot in the summer and hard in the winter.

Airhawk has numerous size pads.

Definitely Helps

A couple of weeks ago I did about 460 miles in 36 Hours- got lost quite a few times but sure did enjoy the scenery in and around Galena Il. That was the first time I was able to really appreciate my new Airhawk R on my 13 ST-S. It made quite a difference! Before my jaunt my thought process was I'm going to send this back-they have the 60 day guarantee that if you can't spend twice as much time riding as you did without the Airhawk they have a money back guarantee. Well my 60 days is up and I still have my Airhawk. In fact I may have to get one for my wife when we ride two-up. Bur remember young Jedi- it will take time finding the right amount of Air to make it fit your own personal Behind! Or you may not like it at all- thats why the guarantee helps.

Works for Me

Buy the medium...unless your butt is waaaayyy big. Sure beats spending close to $1000 for a new seat. For us older guys with no padding left, the Airhawk is the easiest solution.

Took a while to figure out there is a cheap airhawk version and a more expensive one.

Polyurethane vs Neoprene, the neoprene apparently lasts longer and has a better warranty to reflect it.

ditto for me

I bought the Medium cruiser after the R was out but I have that one for me and one that just fits the pillion for my wife. We think they are the best thing since canned beer and sliced bread. At 1/3 the cost of a new seat. We use them just the same as akspyderman.
