OK I've read lots on this but never had the problem till now. Why? I do not overfill the oil and only put it the recomended amount. I also check the oil level after a long drive and make sure it is at operating temps. Yesterday was the first time oil has dripped onto the lower fairing by my right foot. I am close to an oil change and this will be my third change without any leaks. The oil level is under the full mark so it is not overfull. Now What??

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That "oil in the airbox" is just an issue that everyone has. Some folks have re-plumbed that breather tube to stop the oil from getting in their airbox. Others, like myself, just live with it. Its never been so bad on my Spyder that it is actually dripping from the airbox but, if I take the top off the airbox, I can definitely see oil marks.

Or go to spydertalk.com and search. Tharkun#409 did a post on an easy fix. It works. I have done it on my Spyder. No more oil in the airbox. All you do is put a small piece of filter material in the crankcase breather hose. I also informed my dealer in writing when I did the fix. If enough people inform their dealer/BRP maybe BRP will do a redesign to fix the problem. Ryde Safe and Enjoy:thumbup:

I'd be careful on what you tell your dealer, especially when put in writing. Plugging up the breather with anything (even if it doesn't obstruct the crankcase ventilation) could be an excuse for BRP to refuse engine warranty if ever needed. Besides, any modification to the emission components is a violation of fed law. By all means do it if you feel it helps, just don't brag about it.
