• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's nice to have so much space for the big air pump and valves. The System is up and running!! Now to put the covers back on and take it for a test drive!

I still say this is a bad idea..... probably voids any BRP warranty and will cause problems with the VSS.

I don't understand what you are saying about VSS the rear end goes up and down just as the stock set up would.
It will not void the warranty and you do not have to Modify any stock parts as it's a direct bolt on.
You don't even have to drill or cut one thing on the stock Spyder.

The VSS works off of accelerometers and wheel speed sensors. It does not know, or care what type of shock you use. I have never heard of a vehicle where changing the shocks voided the warranty!!!

I can tell you it rides like a dream!

" I have never heard of a vehicle where changing the shocks voided the warranty!!!"

And prior to the Spyder, none of us had heard of a vehicle that will apply the brakes FOR you if you go into a turn too fast.

The VSS tracks more than just that. The passenger seat switch also comes in to play for example. Heck... someone over at can-amtalk.com got a plastic bag stuck on one of the front shocks while ryding and it set the VSS off!

When you adjust the stock shocks on this bike it changes the way the VSS will operate. There is a specific range of settings that it has. No matter how you change the settings (manually or with your air-shock) it affects the VSS. If you adjust beyond the factory settings (which the air unit obviously allows you to do) then the VSS may react in an unexpected manner.

Inflate your tires incorrectly and your ABS won't work properly... this is true on cars also.

I'll bet cold hard cash that if something happens to your Spyder dealing with the suspension or VSS and you have that air unit on they will NOT cover it under warranty.

There are limitations to what modifications they would consider to have 'no effect' on the Spyder systems.

Hook up a NOS kit and see if they still cover the engine should something go wrong.

The only way I could see this air-system being safe would be to have it limited to the same range as the stock shock.

I also think jury-rigging some goofy handlebars would cause warranty problems.

I agree  You can easily keep your ride height at the proper level with the push of a button, regardless of weight. LOTS of motorcycles use air shocks instead of coil overs for this very reason. It will have minimal effect on the VSS....in fact it will work better because the rider can easily keep the machine at the optimum level.

I guess I see your point on the warranty issues.
But I think I will make what I buy what I want as long as I'm paying for the bike and the modifications.
Warranties our out there to cover there butts, I buy toys to have fun with.
