• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:sour:Getting close to purchase tyme..:bowdown:December.. After looking at the problems with pre-2014 models I am concidering buying$$ the 2014 RT model..Seems that I may save money in the long run with this model as I do have a budget:chat:..Hoping with the 2015's coming out I can get a good deal for a good deal less..$$$;) I know all you 2014 owners and where your votes will be..:banghead::banghead::banghead:I can hardly wait for whichever Spyder i buy..:p:p

I'm not sure what advice you're asking for. Which 2014 RT to get? I love the RTS I have. I like the color options, whereas the Ltd only has a couple options.

I think you made the right choice in the 2014 and not an earlier model.

Wait for the 2015? Who knows what they'll have to offer. I think the best time to buy is when you're ready.

Here's the thing..!!

they are all great machines. Now if you are talking budget you are right about the long run. The earlier models are a bit more costly as to maintenance so the larger investment now for the 14's will keep you in farkeling money down the road..:roflblack: Seriously you have a choice no doubt so if you have a great savings on the older new models they will keep you smiling just as much. This from a lover of the V-Twin...

Great - good luck with your decision

I am glad to hear you're shopping for a Spyder. We do have the 2014 RT Limited and upgraded from a 2012 RT Limited. Both Spyders were trouble free and traded the 2012 RT with just under 8,000 miles on it for our 2014.

The 2014 RT is "AWESOME" and have just under 8,000 miles on it. :2thumbs:

I've been fortunate with having "zero" problems with both Spyders. Good luck to you in your upcoming decision and as Bob stated to enjoy the shopping time as it's fun to dream.....:thumbup::thumbup:

Our 2014 RT has only been in for service for our 3,000 mile first service and next week for a rear tire....absolutely enjoying this machine - it's been great! :D:D:D

My 2014 has also been trouble-free; eerily quiet...
My 2010 had a few "Burps" along the way; nothing that could spoil the experience though!

My 2010 was trouble free, but I had to really farkle it up to get it running the way I wanted. My new 2014 is almost as good out of the box.

The 2014 stock seat is nice, but NEEDS A FUEL DOOR !!!!!!!!!! I looked hard at the 2014 RT, RT S, RT LTD, and ST LTD - road tested all of them, and bought the RT SE6. I got it for under $20K, with a 7 year warranty, out the door. I didn't need to spend $4000+ for things I didn't need (the RT has a radio, iPod connector, cruise control, heated grips, etc - basically the A/C model on the older RTs), and i CERTAINLY didn't need to spend another $2500 for chrome and a GPS.

Since I have owned two Spyders, and put roughly 30,000 miles on them, I know what farkles I can't live without, and have spend about $1,000 getting them - tall vented windshield, adjustable lower wind wings, rear trunk shelf (& mirror for my SO), gadget adaptor for coffee cup or GPS, Spyder Pops rock guard, and SEAL Floorboards. So, I'm into my new ride for under $21K, set up just as I want it.

Where did you buy a 2014 RT SE6 out the door for 20K ? With a 7yr warranty ? I see where you live and if I have to fly there and ride it home, I will !
