• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i ride with a guy who has a harley and is rigged up to a cb i would like to add a cb to my bike and use my sena headset through bluetooth to talk to him. Can this be done? I will be adding the bluetooth dongle in the near future.

The easiest combo to do this that is not the BRP setup (which wont do Bluetooth anyway) is:

Midland 75-822 handheld CB
Sena SR10 two way Bluetooth device
Sena cable to go between the SR10 and the CB. For this cable get the ICOM one as it wont block the knobs on the CB SC-A0113

Depending on the range you're looking to get, you might also need an external antenna.

The rubber duckies just don't have a lot of range.

i ride pretty close to my friend so I am thinking it should be good. Bob did you hook this up on your bike? I figure i would mount the cb to the handle bars but not sure of the dongle. mount it with the cb?

I ordered the BTD as an option along with the SMH-10 Dual Pack. My selling dealer mounted the dongle in the rear trunk. What are my Midland CB options??????I hope I don't have to "fish" the cable from the midland thru my dash pack to the RUNK.
Thanks

you have to plug the cb into the dongle. if you set up in the back i would think the cb would have to be in the back as well. I'm brand new to Spyder but from what i have read they have to connect to work

You also have to use the Sena PTT switch. There is no way yet figured out how to use the bike PTT with a non-Can Am CB.

Actually that's not completely true. If you take the grip apart you can get at the PTT button and tap into it.
Roger has a picture on here of doing it.
