Accident July 7, 2018. Prayers needed

Continued prayers for full and complete healing, for safe travels for Steve and Kathy's family and close friends.
Praying also for mental and spiritual strength upon them all.
Continue praying for Kathy's caregivers, Doctors, and staff at the hospital.
And praise for the progress.

Update on Kathy for 7/26 - No much to report. They have heartbeat and blood pressure pretty much stabilized. They did a bronchoscopy, (where the look at her airways) and did not send the culture off to the lab. Which I consider is a good sign. She is trying to communicate this evening to Josh, her son a little.

Sometimes, the progress is not seen, but it is there.

Interesting thing about the word "hope." We typically use the word hope to mean a possibility. If I say, "I hope to see you tomorrow at 10 am" that would mean I will try, but don't have the coffee ready. However, the Greek word that is translated "hope" means confident anticipation! So if I said the same thing with that meaning, you would have the coffee ready with a few tasty snacks confident on my arrival!

So...faith is the substance, something concrete, that we can confidently anticipate taking place. Love that word! Prayers continuing for Kathy, and the whole family.

7/28 Update

She had a very restless night. Lots of belching from them moving her feeding tube to her tummy. Tiffanie, her daughter stayed the night and helped her with that. Her numbers continue to improve. The pneumonia is almost gone and she is getting stronger daily. Her kidney MD said that her labs were also getting better. So, we need to pray to kickstart her kidneys and for her general overall healing. Mend her bones and heal her abrasions. Starting Monday they are going to allow visitors for a limited amount of time as long we keep her from getting excited. She is eager to see her friends and rejoice with them for what the Lord has and is doing.

m so glad to hear that her nephrologist has said that the numbers are improving! :clap::2thumbs:
Almost 20 years ago: I was admitted to the Hospital with a REALLY bad case of the flu, and iut had completely shut down mine...
But they did bounce back! I know that hers will also!

It sounds like the doctors are making progress with Kathy's multiple conditions. That must be quite a relief.

7/30 Update

Praise Report for Kathy 7/30 - This is from her daughter, who stayed with her today. Her kidneys are slowly starting to function again and they shut the ventilator off today and let her breathe on her own for a few minutes. They will add more time as they wean her off of the vent. The nurse said she did great. Her pneumonia is almost completely gone. She still is experiencing some discomfort from the feeding tube, but it is getting better. Keep the Prayers coming!

OK Prayer Warriors, we have some GREAT new from Doc on Mrs Kathy's condition. We MUST continue to lift her up in agreed continual prayer. We need to pray in agreement for complete kidney function, complete riddance of the ventilator, complete riddance of the pneumonia and tolerance of the feeding tube. Please pray for the doctors guidance in proper care for this woman of God. Please pray for Doc as he cares for Mrs Kathy as this can be a very hard time on a caregiver.
