Sorry to bother all of you with my troubles but we are in need of "prayers" for my youngest Son!!!!!!!!!! He was on his annual motorcycle ride last week with several of his lifetime friends and was involved in a very serious accident on I-40 in Tennessee. They were heading into North Carolina when a woman missed her exit and decided to back up in her lane!!!!! Traffic was very heavy and my Son had no place to go to avoid her. His motocross experience probably saved his life, he managed to stand up on the pegs and get slowed down considerably before hitting the back of her pick up truck. He went over the bars but hit the tail gate head first. He has many injuries and at this point in time cannot use his left arm at all. Docs are hopeful the nerve trauma will subside and use of the arm will eventually return.
He is facing many months of healing and rehab. We are praying for a full or near full recovery.

WHAT WOULD MAKE A PERSON BACK UP IN LANE ON A BUSY FREEWAY???????????:dontknow:
SHE ALSO RAN AND THE POLICE IN THE AREA HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE HER OR THE TRUCK!!!!!

Prayers until the finally. My only advice is to hit the speech therapy if needed and the physical therapy ASAP like he's going for MMA. Don't let the injuries define you.

I too suffered a bad accident four years ago, that left my arm/shoulder broken, bruised, and nerve damage to the point of unusable. Doctor said it stemmed from the trauma to the upper back, and injury to the shoulder. She told me it would take 18 months to recover from this nerve damage, but that it would come back. By golly it did after about 17 months and 29 days, but I went through a long period of doubt and painful therapy to get there.

My prayers are with you and your son, and hoping for a speedy recovery... The body is an amazing thing and if the nerve is not severed, the chances for a full recovery is 99%. It just sucks getting to the finish line! Prayers are also going out for positive charma to fill your son's life, since he was dealt a bad hand, for which re-deal is not an option.
