• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wife and I went riding today, ambient temperature 91 on the Spyder glass. While in El Centro, CA, as were were riding down Imperial, traffic making it a slow travel, a thin middle-aged man walking with a cane stopped to watch us drive by. His eyes and face just lit up and then what he did next was really special. He was using his right hand for the cane. He stopped, balanced himself, moved the cane from his right to his left hand so he could give us a THUMBS UP . We will probably never see him again, but the look on his face, and what he did is priceless.

That is very cool!

Yesterday, I took a ride out east going through some small towns - lots of those in my area, and I got some some neat waves from folks from their front yards. And, coming back through Jackson, a guy coming toward me in a far lane in a pickup gave me a big thumbs up.:D

Earlier in the day, I had pulled into a gas station, and a guy driving a new Mustang GT came up to me, and was checking out the Spyder. We had a nice conversation. And, as I was getting ready to head out, it began raining as a younger guy pulled right up behind where the Spyder was parked. He got out of his car, began saying that he lives in Carroll County, and all he sees there is 2 wheels, etc,,, Lol! Then; as the rain fell harder, he asked if he could take some pics with his camera phone. I said, sure! I didn't care. By, that time my helmet was on, my glasses were dry. So, all was good. After he filled up the memory on his phone, he told me, thanks! And, headed out. It was a neat day - good for a little over 197 miles.

I got about 5 miles down the road, and the rain stopped, and the skies cleared.

Most likely his face lit up because he relized he could be on a Spyder dispite the need for a cane.

Takes two bungees to attach it to the grab rail......ask my wife. Oh yeah, a handicapped license plate is a big help, too.

:agree:

Yes, the handicap plate was my first addition. I have a folding cane in the trunk, always carried one on my bike, but have not needed it since I began Spyderriding. I get off of that and my legs feel better than after riding any bike, or in a car or truck.
