• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

Turn Signal Button Improvement

I have lost mine on a busy street. Can someone point me to the guy that's making them?

TCBoone, Dave handled this 'lost item' in a very professional manner. He put a new 'revised' one in the mail and it ain't gonna fall off in a busy street. ....Thanks Dave.

I requested both items Friday evening and they arrived on Tuesday, that's downright exceptional. I won't be installing them until I take the cover off, but when I do it'll be the first mod.

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

Good idea! It solves a problem for many people, and that is exactly what this forum is about! Thank you for sharing your find! Joe

Since my first post on this thread back in January of this year I hadn’t paid much attention to it until today. 147 posts!! WOW, a common problem. Yeah, hopefully, BRP has caught on. I don’t know. Such a small improvement and such a seemingly large problem and potential safety issue. As I mentioned in my first post #25, I don’t seem to have the problem that other posters have. I agree that 30 seconds is a long time in heavy multi-lane traffic when signaling and changing lanes at 60/70 MPH. Safety comes first! So, I began to rethink why I didn’t have the same issue; and then it came to me. Long ago I had Joe Meyer (Squared Away) install a small light strip on top of each of my rear-view mirrors connected to my turn signals. Easy for me to see and my rear-view mirrors are always in my peripheral view and my left thumb is always at or near my turn signal button. Everything works in unison and it all just seems second nature to me.

Installed! Easy-Peasy.
My wife will appreciate the shorter reach on the shift paddle, and we'll both benefit from the turn signal mod.

Hi TC, love the mods you did and I wonder if it will also work on the cruise control? Next question, where did you get the parts? Very good Idea. I have a 2020 model same color so I know it should work. Redlightron.

My bike is currently in storage, so I can't look at turn signal button. Looks like it is held on by a set screw. Is this correct? I do have the replacement cube and paddle pads to install once the spyder is out of storage.

Just a press fit

Hi troop, As EdMat said it is a simple press on to install. Follow the instructions that came with your parts. Hope you get your Spyder out of storage soon!

I didn't use any tools to remove the original from my Spyder. I just gripped it tightly, gave it a little tug and it pulled right off. It kind of surprised me that it didn't fight anymore than that.

i ride an older 2011 RT and it's hard to see blinker in the display during the day. if i had this knob and a brighter blinker light in the display, life would be good.
