• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. A Place to Eat

This past Monday was Cindy's birthday so I decided I would take her away from Sanford for a treat. We left around 10:00 Sunday morning our destination was Williston, Flarda, for lunch. There's this little place/restaurant/old home that specializes in some good ole down home cookin. All I can say is that after eating my fried shrimp, okra and maters, hearts of palm slaw, salad, cornbread and yeast roll, I asked the waitress if my mom was in the kitchen cookin. Cindy had much the same except she opted for the crispy baked chicken.

This place would be a great place to meet and have lunch. The price for two was $22.50 excluding the tip. I guess the only draw back is that the place is an old house and the eating area is sectioned off into various rooms of the home. Williston is up around the Ocala area. It's beautiful up that way.

I'm mentioning in case some of us would like to have a place to meet, eat and swap lies.

Great..!!

sounds like a great place. Happy birthday to the wife I'm sure she had a great time..you all should pick it forcone of your ryde...:ohyea:

Some of those small, out of the way, roadhouse type places do have the best food. I have only run into one that I did not like. This statement coming from someone who has been to a lot of them.

If you are ever in Morgan City LA you must eat at Rita Mae's. Some of the best food I have ever eaten, and the pecan pie was to die for....I found the place on recommendation of one of the locals while touring through Louisiana last month.

How many can they accommodate at one time?

Bob, Cindy & I, were in one of the smaller rooms and it had at least three tables that would hold 4 people and two tables that would handle 2. I'm just trying to in my mind vision a number. There were some larger rooms (probably what was a living room at one time) as well as an area in the back. To answer your question I'd estimate probably 50 people in all.

They do have a website. I googled Ivy House Williston Florida and came up with that. I think I recall them specifically saying that they could accomodate a larger group.

There food is down home suthun cookin.
