• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A new bet between Doc and Forest on B.E.S.T !

So... This is a bet to make them even?

Forest is right on this one.

What are Florida owners doing debating B.E.S.T. warranties anyway? I thought BEST wasn't sold down there? :dontknow:

BEST doesn't require a $ premium if purchased late

Bombardier Extended Service Terms is available at authorized Can-Am Dealership within the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska:
"This is a new factory extended warranty plan from BRP. Your Can-Am must still be under the original factory warranty coverage"
"Bombardier Extended Service Terms is available at authorized Can-Am Dealership within the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska"
"Not Valid to Florida Residents. Per state law, Florida residents must purchase extended warranties from in-state dealers. Internet or phone purchases are not legal"
"B.E.S.T. covers all major components, parts, and systems. Normal wear or maintenance items such as tires, brakes, clutch plates, filters, batteries and/or damage caused by collision, fire, or routine maintenance are not covered"

depends on what the discussion is about ...

is it:

Up to what point you can purchase the BEST Warranty? if so then YES as long as its under the 2 year original warranty you can add the BEST Warranty to the unit.

OR

If there is a FEE additional to the BEST warranty price if you go beyond 60 days from delivery of the unit? if so they YES you pay a surcharge of $75 for each 12 month term purchased

Forrest doesn't need the BEST warranty. Be trades the spyders every few months anyway.

Round 2. What if you are a resident of Florida and purchase your Spyder from say, Missouri, is your best warranty in effect? ???

Who imposed the fee: BEST (as extension warranty/insurance) or the dealer who sell BEST?
Ex: "A" decides to sell his/her Spyder to "B" after 14 months of ownership. 8 months remaining in the Factory Warranty. "B" wants to purchase BEST (1,2 or 3 years). "B" is shopping around: dealer "C" is asking $X+$75, dealer "D" just $X.
Note: "A", "B", "C" and "D" are not in Florida.

Yes, because the original dealer where the Spyder was first register by BRP and BEST is outside Florida. :read:
