• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

91 Pure Gas

Out for a put today. Made it all the way to Woodbourne, N.Y.. Some 2+ hours from me. Met up with an old friend that owns his own aftermarket shop. On the way home stopped at the Stewarts in Wurtsboro. They had 91 octane pure gas. So, I just had to fill er up. It was a bit pricey at $2.859. But it was the same price across the street at the Mobil. I had hoped to stop at the "Denman Agency". But, just ran out of time. Sorry Bob. Tom :spyder:

Hi Tom!
Let us know how the bike runs on it...
I tried some "straight gas" in Missouri, and got 4 extra miles per gallon.
Catch you next time! :D

I also got pure 91 in Missouri on trip in August. I did feel the difference. I wonder if anyone figured out the one billionth the add ins cuts down on immisions is lost by the more fuel burned do to lower mpg.

Ive shared here before. http://pure-gas.org. Pick whehe you want & track it down. Has been helpful on my mielage. Harder tk find 91 or better octane as pure but :cus:OPEC sux:banghead:

Real Gasoline

This website is great:

http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=KS

It lists every state where you can find REAL GAS! It's really sad what we have been sold by others. Ethanol deteriorates a lot of components, boats, motorcycles, cars, it is sad if people truly knew what it does.

I have bought "Real gas" and put it in my car and my little Honda Civic got 37.5 MPG, on ethanol, I get about 30 MPG.

Fill up the Spyder with REAL Gas and again it runs better and MPG gets higher.

When I owned a HYBRID a car I was supposed to get closer to 50 MPG--when I ran ethanol, it was no different then regular civic's got. When I was in Minnesota and go real gas I hit the 50 mpg mark.

Kinda like shooting ourselves in the foot. Oh well--what's the saying, "You can't fight city hall?"

Have a good one!

;)

Sounds like a day so how was the Spyder on the Wurtsboro Hill did you stop by O'Toole's just to be a great Chinese restaurant right next-door well it like you had a great ride

I only run pure gas in my :spyder2:.....cost more but I can live with that. I pay no attention to mileage. It appears that I go for ever without having to fill up so I am good with that

The real shame is that straight gas uses less oil, gives you more power and MPG, is nowhere near as destructive on engines as Ethanol, and it costs less to make!

So, what is the downside to straight gas?

I live in PA.. So didn't do the mountain. Have done it many times before. Have not been in O'Toole's in ages. Screwed me out of a HD back in the day. Haven't stepped in since. Tom :spyder:

Here is something interesting. I checked that site and tried just two states, AL has 400 stations, AR 335, CA.....18 and looks like most of them are in marinas or racing gas, got to love it here lol
If it wasnt for the great weather and mountains and ocean id consider leaving lol

As I see it..!!

We end up with to much corn...:roflblack::roflblack:

Then again......don't get me started....

Then I too would like to know why we are shipping so much of American BEEF overseas so we are paying $30 for a nice steak. Good grief-a brisket to smoke is $85 bucks now. Really? :sour:

Gas

I am using 87 octane "pure gas" in my 2013 RTL and seems to have a little more power but milage has not improved. My 2 cents worth.

I run it in everything that takes gas, get 3 more mpg on my spyder and chevy cruise. 37 and 39.5 respectfully.
