• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

600 mile service

I am just curious what the different dealers are charging for the first 600 mile service. Do they actually go over the entire bike besides changing the oil and filter ? The dealer I will be bringing mine to next week charges $198 plus parts. Does this sound reasonable ?

Parts should run about 75 to 90 $ So with 198 $ Your in the ballpark'
AS long as they do it by the book.

And that is really the whole point. Do they do the whole job? How would the customer know?

Some do, many just plain don't. I know Cowtown isn't the only good dealer, there are many like the dealer we have here in East Tennessee. But my feeling is that many charge for full service and don't give it.

It is really frustrating to pay for the 600 mile service since most of what they are supposedly doing is really just checking to see if they assembled the bike correctly before delivering it to you. I felt and still do that this one service should be included in the price of the spyder

600 mile

Our 600 mile check up was $160, which I thought was very reasonable. I was allowed to watch the panels be removed and replaced also. I saw what he did but not sure I could do it without instructions to help.

I was quoted ...

... $300-400 by my dealer when I picked it up. Yet to have it done since I only have 425 miles on it. I'd sure like to see a checklist for all they're supposed to do. On day 2 I had a flat, took it to the dealer, they replaced the tire. When I checked it the next morning it had 34 pounds in it and the rear shock had zero. I haven't said anything to the dealer about it yet ... But I wasn't happy. I know we can all have bad days. And she seems to be dryving well.
