• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I though it might be interesting to see how much and where you got you 600mi. service done. Myself I paid $362 @ Velocity Motor Sports in Ladson SC. Where and how much did it cost you?

600 mile service

$203- at Smith Marine in New Britain, Pa. Really nice, down to earth folks. Family business for 65 years.

ASK Powersports, Lancaster, OH. $330.66

I have 2012 Spyder RT-S SM5. I believe if I had a SE5, it would have been more.

My 2011 RS-S was $225.00. The dealer gave me a 1/2 hr. off on the labor. It was done in Gainesville Georgia and they did a piss poor job. I would have gladly paid $100.00 more to get it right.

I paid $214.80 for 600 mile service on my 2012 RT Limited at Tomberlin Outdoor in Augusta, GA. I would not recommend this dealer, and plan to go to Velocity in Ladson, SC in the future for service. Though $362 sounds a bit high to me. Perhaps they do more than what the 600 mile service calls for.

$210 at Louis Powersports Greenville Tx. I had $200 in cash on me that day so the dealer took another $10 off the price since I was paying cash. So $200 out the door. Great Dealer for anyone in North Texas!

Cost me $242.00 on my RT. Great job, done right. I recommend this dealer to anyone. In last weekend for warranty service as well for heim joints and shocks.

Right around $300 seems to be the average going price for the 600 miles service. Unfortunately, the high price of maintainence on our favorite ride can be more pricey than some very expensive car servicing. Wait till you do the valve check/adjustment. That will run you $800-$1000 at most dealers.

Most know, that the costs of servicing the :spyder2: are on my favorite rants list. I have paid more than my share having owned four :ani29:'s now.

It is even worse when you pay the money and the dealer screws up your :spyder2: by not doing the service carefully or correctly. Okay--back to our normal program. :roflblack:
