• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

coldest day according to the news, not the coldest day I have ridden this year, I have to get the snow tire and gauntlets on the new bike (have to weld a nut in the bar ends to put the brackets on so they don't hit the brake and shifter at speed)

its been the coldest December up here I can remember, its been below zero for over 3 weeks.

:yikes: My hat is off to you, very tough man. I assume that you are not having any heat issues with your bike now. :roflblack:

Ok, you win! :bowdown:

This coming from a guy in Alberta means that he is the winner. I was in Fort McMurray, Alberta (5 hours north of Edmonton) in '94 when it got to -45C (or -45F its too close to tell the difference) and that was cold, but I did not ride anything - my job was working at an oil refinery and I had to do visual inspection of processing units, only a few hours each day.

I heard that you used to kick Jack Frost's butt out in the schoolyard playground every day!! :D
And you haven't changed a bit!! :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Seth Buddy you are for sure crazier than me, I was watching this this morning on Facebook formulating this comment in my mind when Lily chimed in from across the room "he is crazier than you" so it must be true if we were thinking the same thing at the same time.

Yikes..!!

I've done cold but....you..my friend have gone way way beyond..!! :yikes: gotta give the roadster credit too..!!

I've seen some thermometers, that look as if it gets cold enough; the temperature will start back out on the high side and work it's way back down...
:shocked: But they don't...:shocked: :D

Seth you are NUTS!!! and this ryde proves it byond a doubt!!! Course I realize you usually ryde to work on the bike. BUT good grief man your gona freeze em off if yer not careful!! Hope you had REALLY good boots on!!! Had -7 here this AM with wind chill at -24. NO WAY WOULD I GO OUT IN THIS COLD ON THE BIKE. THEY WOULD PUT ME AWAY FOR SURE!!!

Nice ride, do you have studded tires?

I do have a studded snow tire on the shelf but its been so damn cold here my daily riding around has been limited and for riding to work and back it has not been needed.

I should say that if there is more than 4-6 inches of snow on the road (depending on what is underneath it) I can not ride my spyder, they nanny goes crazy and when you are snow plowing its hard to get going and I had one day last year were I had so much snow and ice build up that it pushed the belt off the rear pulley.
