• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

44 mag and gel block, very slow motion, cool to watch

Cool. ..

Didn't even knock the gel block off the stump....that is one fast traveling slug. Cool how much havoc it caused the gel block :roflblack:

That's one potent round !!
The .44 magnum is a nice round.
With a bit less than 1,000 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle; it's about the most that a lot of foils would want to be shooting...
But if you like SERIOUS power :D:
There's always the:
.454 Casull
.500 S&W magnum

These aren't bad. They'll make just about any North American game animal think twice, before coming into range...

But I went for even more power. :D
My .375 JDJ throws a 220 grain slug at 2,350 foot per second (muzzle velocity)
That works out to almost 2,500 foot pounds of muzzle energy.
That's from just a 14" barreled single-shot pistol
Loaded with 300 grain solids; this round has been used to legally harvest elephants, and cape buffalo.

I hunted deer for many years with my 5 1/2" Freedom Arms 454, it always did it's job.

I always liked that round.
I sort of kept a .44 Mag around only because you could literally get ammo for it anywhere.
(That; and I also had a matching Winchester lever-action, that used the same ammo)

Yeah,I hand load 250 grn.bullets for it and they are lots nicer to shoot than the factory 300 grainers.

And we have this guy to thank for being able to watch this cool stuff. Harold "Doc" Edgerton, the pioneer in high speed/strobe photography & filming, which in effect, produces "slow motion".
