There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 300 km/hr motorcycle chase

Stupid, dumba$$es, organ donors - ya'll named it!!

Someone should find out who these guys are and show this to their insurance carries!

Yes, what they did was stupid - BUT...no one needs to meddle in their business. For the most part they risked only their own lives. That is NOT your business. Had they been in cars it would have been different but they were not. Enjoy the video from the safety of your home. The world would be a boring place without people who take chances even if they are stupid chances.

With all due respect, I disagree. If it was a closed road and they were the only ones on it, you'd be right. But they risked the lives of the other people on that highway. What if a car driver swerved into another lane because they suddenly saw in their peripheral vision something coming up fast in the left shoulder? As a driver, I expect others to at least obey the basic rules, or they endanger me.

And what about the times they DID risk someone else's life, just because they want to risk theirs is NO justification on risking someone else's , I have no sympathy for idiots like this when they take themselves out . Go base jump if you want adrenaline ! put just your self at risk , The video was just plan stupid .

No problem with those who wish to take big risks. I do worry about any innocent people that may be impacted by their stupidity though? :dontknow:

When they were pulling over onto the shoulder to pass the trucks and buses; what if a disabled vehicle happened to be parked there?

Yeah, but stupidity aside that was awesome. Not very smart and also irresponsible, but also gutsy. The part that scared the you know what outta me was when they were on the shoulder. We all know the debris we see on the shoulder. I would be hesitate to run on the shoulder at 15 mph for fear of puncturing a tire. I still like watching this stuff. They are the modern day gladiators.

Naw...they're just stupid.

Your statement "For the most part they risked only their own lives," says it all. They WERE putting other people in danger and that IS our business (or the business of people in their area).

I've been street riding since 1968, including riding the crotch rockets of the day, and I never did anything THAT stupid. You want to go that fast, go to the track...period. There's NO place for that kind of riding on public roads.

Not only stupid, mortally stupid.

:sour:

Track instead. If they had rear ended a vehicle, all probably dead. Did not say where they were, but it used to be trucks were limited to about 100kph in Germany. Think about a 100 + MPH crash into a fixed object, then add schranel (sp) flying at these speeds. 100 MPH +

Exciting to watch but very dangerous for themselves and potentially others as well. I don't know where they were but, surprisingly, the shoulder seemed very clean. Around here the chances of encountering a gator are far too great to get on the shoulder at that speed. Oh, for those not used to Texas slang, a gator is a big chunk of tire tread, usually thrown off a truck tire. Most of us thought we were bulletproof when we were young and many of us would have been guilty of doing the same thing if such machines had been available in the '50's. After all, we rode or drove whatever we had wide open most of the time. So, it's hard to be too critical when, given the chance, I and most of my friends would have done the same thing. I just hope they are as lucky as we were and survive the "bulletproof" stage and get to enter the "old enough to know better" stage.

Yep. Used to think I was bulletproof. Found out I wasn't. Fortunately I didn't hurt anyone other than myself. Public roads are not the place for this kind of idiocy. I was an EMT/Firefighter too. Saw to much of what was left after something like this goes wrong.

Having said that, I don't blame the OP for posting the video and he shouldn't blame us for the response.

I don't watch things like that ....having been killed in a hit and run car accident over 33 years ago

And when the nurse in ICU said " glad you decided to be here" I smiled and said " yes and if I had been on my motorcycle, this would have never have happened" she said that I didn't want to hear.

Edit: Did I *really* just watch that vid and think it was the UK?! No, I don't have trouble telling right from left, why do you ask? :banghead:

---------

Three quick thoughts:

1. I don't think that was the autobahn (gut suggests UK or maybe Netherlands), but even if it was, they're riding illegally for it-- you can only pass on the left, and you most certainly can't ride on the shoulder (who the eff rides on a shoulder like that? :yikes:).

2. I don't care if you're on a bike-- a bike at that speed will utterly disintegrate anything it hits short of a truck.

3. Track day. They're cheaper than a felony and safer than a morgue.
