• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When my dealer first suggested I call BRP about my excessive "underbody" heat on my 2013 RT/S I place the first call on 10-4-13 and have made 5 calls since. The "contact us" forum on the BRP site don't work all you get on the end of all that work is "Sorry end of the road, where would you like to go?" So filling out a complaint there is useless! Today is day 21 since my fist call, i'm sure they are busy, hopefully figuring out an answer to the heat complaints! But I can't believe that can't take the time to call back an unhappy customer, soon to become an irate customer. Dealer is useless, tells me to call BRP everyday, really! I'm pretty sure they are the "go between" person to keep me FROM calling BRP. :banghead: I am not going to let this go....

I do feel your pain because I drop my Spyder the same day you did yours today I received a call from BRP, they told me they will be calling my dealer on Monday to see what is going on, and he will call me back, but he told me that they are switching people around and they will get back to us regarding our issues, I know is not what you want to hear but, I did call 4 times this week to the customer service number asking for a call back from the tech in charge of my file and he call me today......

Open your owners manual and read this to the person that's telling you to call BRP

In the event of a controversy or a dispute in connection with this limited warranty, BRP suggests that you try to resolve the issue at the dealership level. We recommend discussing the issue with the authorized Spyder Dealer's service manager or owner, before contacting us.

brp

they are overwhelmed with complaints and they really have no answers yet. i personally don't see how they can fix the bike when all bikes are the same and some people have heat and others don't. i was told it could take two weeks to come up with a solution from steve at BRP, than i hear it might not be till the begging of next year b4 that have a fix. so we have a couple of options now, i am thinking of going back to 2 wheels again, but with the winter coming now and the bike is going to be stored soon i might just put the vents i bought for it on and wait till riding season again to decide. so if we continue to call it is just beating a dead horse because i think they just tell us what they think we might want to hear, and they hope they can figure out what is wrong or that we just go away. a old friend of mine once told me never yell to get my point across because people turn you off, but talk quiet and they have to listen to hear what you are saying.

An acknowledgement from BRP is surely the right thing to happen. Ignoring a plea for help or a complaint is not good marketing. IMO. :bbq::bbq::bbq:

lemon law

this from a Texas lawyers site:
check your state for your situation...

How do I know if my vehicle is a lemon?

A motor vehicle may be declared a lemon if it meets all of the following conditions:

• the vehicle was purchased or leased from a Texas licensed dealer or lessor;
• the vehicle has a serious defect or abnormal condition;
• the defect or condition is covered by a manufacturer's written warranty;
• the owner reports the defect or condition to the dealer or manufacturer within the warranty term;
• the owner gives the dealer or manufacturer a reasonable number of attempts to repair the defect or condition;
• the owner gives the manufacturer (not the dealer) (preferably by certified mail) written notice of the defect and at least one opportunity for repair after notification;
• the defect or condition persists and substantially impairs the vehicle's use or market value, or creates a serious safety hazard; and, the owner files a timely Lemon Law complaint and pays the filing fee.

only one attempt to fix the problem, in ny it is 4 times with the same problem or a loss of the use of the bike for a total of 30 days due to the problem.

I'm not really sure you're gonna get an answer to the issue of "excessive body heat", so I wouldn't hold my breath.
