It was great! :2thumbs: I'll just say that for now. Tomorrow, I'll post photos! What a fun day! Currently, I'm enjoying a Sam Adams Octoberfest, and a shot of Jagermeister. Life is good!

Was a nice ride today. Had a great turn out i thought and i heard the count was 30 before we left FRS and i know the 3 guys that came with me bailed when we got to Shiloh to go see some family. I got back to FRS at about 6 and was home at about 630 so was a nice 9 hour outing today can't wait to do it again.

They performed an artillery (cannon) reinactment yesterday. Afterwards, we all went to the Catfish Hotel just down the road from the Shiloh Park entrance. And, as you can see, the Tennessee River is in the backdrop. Tim (ZZ) is on the other Full Moon Spyder. And, that's Nathan on his yellow Spyder. And, that's also Nathan that looks like he's going for a swim in the river!

It was a great day! :D

I hope they are able to schedule another nice ride here soon that was very fun just wish we had been able to take another route that was less hwy. So now that you have all those miles on it when are you taking it in for service? haha I have to take mine in for an oil change this week and its supposed to rain all week so looks like it will be a wet ride for the oil change lol

I know! We had such a great time, Tim! I have never been a part of anything like that, either. Jean asked me how I felt riding in a group like that. And, I said; 'a little nervous'. :D It was different. But, I tried to keep plenty of distance between my Spyder and others. Any type of contact would really just suck. So, I was extra alert yesterday.

There were quite a bit of 65mph zones on the route. But, I thought it was pretty varied, as well. Some of those tiny towns with their 30mph speed limits can make you crazy, too!

It looks like rain tomorrow, and Wed. But, you know how that is! Lol! I want to take it in around Thursday, if possible, for the first service. And, hopefully pick it up on Saturday. Right now, I have 897.2 miles logged. Not too bad for 8 days. :)

I took a vacation day today. So, I'm heading out in a bit for a cool morning ride. Jean has some things to do this morning. So; later this afternoon, we will go for a ride. She's a trooper! :)

I just calculated up my gas milage from the trip going to Shiloh. When we stopped for fuel on the way back i put 3 gallons in the tank. I had gone 122 miles on that tank so that gives me 40 1/3 mpg for the trip out there. Best gas milage i have seen so far so i guess the highway miles does get better as you put miles on it :-)

Nice! I did the Brownsville loop this morning (101 miles) :

West on 64 to 196. North on 196 to Vinegar Jim's (Hwy 70 - Summer Ave.). East on 70 to Brownsville. South through the Brownsville Town Square, and out to I-40. I-40 west to Hwy 59 exit (15 or 20 miles (not sure) = WOW! I got gas at the BP at Hwy 59/I-40. This was a partial, of course, from the Shiloh ride. 33mpg. :) Then; west on 59 to 194 South to Feather's Chapel up to Tomlin Rd. - back to Hwy 64. Then, I remembered; I needed some Sam Adams Octoberfest. So; back down 64 west to Kroger's in Oakland. From there; 4 miles east on 64 (again) and 2 miles south to the house. That was fun!

It's one thing to be cruising the backroads - some 2 lane, some 4 lane, at speed limits up to 55mph. It's quite another to hop on the 70mph hwy, and immediately blend in at 75mph+ in gusty conditions with semis all around. This time; no passenger. Of course, this past Saturday, when my Wife and I hit the hwy at these speeds for the first time, not sure how windy it was. But; it was more stable. I do know that.

Greg H, you should get the most excited new owner award! :firstplace: :clap::clap:

Thank you! Thank you! roflmao

Maybe, I'm just more vocal. But, I really don't think, I'm alone regarding the 'excitement factor'.
