• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RT with Codes B2D20 & B2D60 - can anyone help?

I have a 2022 RT Limited that two times now when riding has shut down and gone into limp mode.

Took the bike to shop to put in code reader which came up with the code B2D20, defective output connector B, pin 1 and code B2D60 defective output connector A, pin10. Shop didn't know what to do with the codes. Open case number to proceed with diagnosis. BRP has not called back. It's been 2 months!

Can anyone help me with this problem? campy

“B” codes do not appear anywhere in my ‘21 shop manual, campy. It was a Can Am dealer you got to pull the codes, wasn’t it?
The workshop manuals show the code, the cause, and how to fix it. Your shop can obviously pull the codes and the cause. Are they saying they can’t find any reference to the fix in their workshop manuals? That would be most odd. Regardless, they should be pursuing BRP very vociferously to obtain further information. It sounds like the shop is not trying hard enough.

p.s. Peter Aawen will probably move this question out of the How-To section shortly. The How-To section is to tell other riders “how to” do something like change a tyre. Yours is just a general question.

In my 2022 RT shop manual it is telling me a P, B, C and U code has to do with the cluster module.

So Campy, curiosity has gotten the better of me, although I don't know if we can provide a lot of help over the internet. Not sure if you will be back here, but here goes.

Essentially, the code listing these days in the shop manuals, aren't that complete anymore. Typically, you have to go to BUDS2, call up a vehicle file and look at the all Possible code list. The closest thing I have is my 2023 file.

I DO have the B2D20 code listed. It comes up as an overload condition on that connector B, pin 1, and the corrective action is to check the component connected to the Cluster through pin 1 for possible overcurrent. Well, it just so happens that the component that is connected is the solenoid operated air release valve for the rear suspension system. And yes, it's entirely plausible for a solenoid valve to hang up in mid-position, and when it does, it will draw excessive current. So, there’s that.

Now, I don't have the other code on my 2023, nor does my Connector A have a pin 10 designated, so I can't help you there.

Bottom line though, this sounds like it would have been a warranty job, and it would have been normal for the dealership to check in with the mother ship, before they started work. They would need to be sure that the warranty work would be approved and that they would get paid. What's not normal, is for 2 months to go by with no followup on the dealership's end of things. And I hope, that this entire time, that your beloved Spyder hasn't been sitting outside. My help then, would be to strongly support you in calling for a meeting with the Service Manager, not just a writer, or General Manager if necessary, and coming up with a plan that you will be satisfied with. Otherwise, elevate it to a higher level. Good luck.
