There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2017 Line Up - ST Benched?

Colors are an interesting subject. In 2010 The Premiere RTS came in black. The next year, that was the color for the entry level RT with Manual tranny.

In 2012 they had the Quatumum Metallic Blue, and see that this year they brought the Blue again back. Deanna

I have to say that the RS is not going anywhere, but there may be some updating. I know there are those in the RT crowd that like to look down there noses at it, but there is a much larger market out there that BRP has yet to break into. I will admit that there needs to be an entry level model, but there also needs to be a real sport model with real performance. The F3 is a good cruiser, but if they want to sell to a "younger" demographic they are going to have to go lighter and faster than the 1330 is now. Having a model in the lineup that your average 21 year old can afford might also get some fresh faces in the showrooms.

As it is, I believe there is more yet to come.

Just sayin'............

You may be right, and I hope that you are. It's a bit early in the year to know anything definitive about next year's line-up. Everything in this thread is speculation.

As for folks in the "RT crowd" looking down their noses at the RS, I've never seen any hint of that here on the forum. I personally think the RS is a great looking bike. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be comfortable on it, just because of my size, but I test rode an ST-Sport model earlier this year and absolutely LOVED it. It was a whole different riding experience than my RT.

As much as I hate to say this however, it's really hard to imagine a viable amount of "average 21 year olds" being excited about any Spyder, no matter how BRP tries to promote it. The machine simply appeals to an older crowd. Having said that, I still agree they would do well with an entry level model.

Good buy BRP. It was fun while it lasted.

I'll never buy an RT and the F3 just isn't a riding position I can do. It just doesn't work for me physically.

My only option is to buy a 2016 RSS and ride it until its too old I guess. But, I'm thinking the value of the GS, RS, RSS will drop greatly now (not that they were great before).

I signed up for the 10th anniversary homecoming but I probably won't go now. Wonder if I can get my money back?

I'm not convinced yet that they will not still offer the RSS for 2017. If you look at the BRP web site, It introduces the latest 2017 early release models. I could be wrong, but I don't think they are showing the complete lineup yet. I've always liked my 2008 GS when I owned it. The 990 is a solid engine, and even though the 1330 seems to be more common place, I still think there is a following for the more sporty RS Spyders. I have an RT LTD and It's great for touring and being able to carry lots of stuff around, but I do miss that fun factor that the RSS would have. I did test drive the F3, and liked it, but I'm not sure if the riding position is for me for the long haul.

Classic

I think the RS/RSS will come back has a classic in years to come but I hope to see this baby back this year.

If you REALLY want to "stoke the speculative fires": What if these two models re-appear in August with the triple underneath some re-designed bodywork? :D

I have a little money set aside that I would use to bet AGAINST that, given reasonable odds. OTOH, they might come out with a new 1330 model that looks "something" like the RS, if not this year maybe next. (See post #66 above.)

Unfortunately, I would also put money on the speculation that the ST is a "goner".

...sad as that is.

I love the new sport mode feature but I don't like the colors. Does anyone know if any additional announcement will happen in August of this year or not at all? I'm hoping for a different color.

I have to think BRP knows this but they haven't been able to or haven't been willing to deliver a product like this for whatever reasons.

The Rotax 990 V-twin is pretty long in the tooth. The two things riders don't seem to like are 1) the heat and, 2) the lack of smooth low-end grunt. At the very least, they would have to relocate the radiator(s), but the need to rev the engine isn't going to go away. Also, I have no idea how hard it is to make meet noise and emissions regs. With the more stringent Euro standards, it might be legislated away.

I really like my ST!!!! I test rode a F3-S on a Demo Day, I did not like the riding position and was not impressed by the 1330. I like the V-twin and I do not mind having to run
with the RPMs up higher. I run with the revs at 4500 to 5000 and when I twist the throttle the power is there!!! If you like low rev cruising then the 1330 is your motor.
If the V-twin is dropped, then I will keep my ST until it falls apart or blows up.
