• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT-S HOT seat???

Those are somewhat ridiculous air vent deflectors...can't fiqure wth the engineers are thinking on those in front of the vents. Can-Am RT VENT KIT Part # 219800388. Search for some pics and install instructions. The kit was 69$ at the dealer a month ago and that includes shipping. I have yet to install. Just hate cutting the side panels. A dealer said they charge $200 to do it but ...I'm waiting.

Those deflectors in front of the flat air vents ...one would think these would keep air out but on further review it creates a dead space where air is "sucked in" the vents. SO my first impression was wrong. I also have seen now an adjustable vent that replaces the deflectors in front of the vents and these pivot and allow different amounts of air in . The Air scoops that BRP designed force air in and down into the engine compartment which seems like the way to go for the best results.

Quite awhile back this topic came up and then many people reported the same issue ....( herd effect ? :roflblack:) ..... I have the first edition of the 1330 engine on my 14 RT ..... I checked the Temp inside the glove box and the sides where your knee's are ..... I don't remember the exact temp difference but it wasn't more than 15 F for the knee area and only 25 F in the glove box ...... some folks are more sensitive than others ..... I also had an 08 GS and 11 RSS and they were hotter, but never got to be objectionable ....of course I never wore shorts when I ride ..... Mike

I also have a 2014 RT. Since moving to Arkansas, I have had the pleasure of driving in 100 degree weather. Getting slowed down by any city traffic would bring on the cooling fans quickly. I have not experienced the "hot" feel either. The seats, being black, will pick up reflection from the sun. Leave that bike in the parking lot for half an hour on one of those days, and you will find the seat mostly unbearable. That may be what is happening. :dontknow:

Your solution may be as simple as adding a sheepskin cover or an AirHawk. Both will insulate you from direct contact with the seat. Don't buy "fake" sheepskin. It is not as good as the real thing.

Buy the Pre-14 vents and ride over here to Claremore and I'll put them on for you. Just bring Cold Cherry Dr Pepper. My Spyder cooling fans only come on when Idling for more than ten minutes, never while riding in Oklahoma or Arkansas summer heat. But then I doubt that I could even hear them while riding, but summer heat riding temp gauge never goes above 4th bar from bottom.

Where are you guys finding these Air scoops for 70.00? I have a 2019 RTL and i would like to install these air Scoops (i think they also give the RT a little SASS). Anyhow, i can only find them for like 130.00. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i see these air scoops providing function and style. Function in that currently i cant keep my android in the glove box as it gets to hot and turns off. I did remove the glove box and seen that BRP did have it insulated with styrofoam and a piece of stick on heat insulator but apparently there is still to much heat for that insulation barrier. I checked CheapCycleparts and you can only get pieces to the air scoops and if you add up the pieces they are a lot more than 70.00. By the way, im in SC and hot days here is HOT and humid, I started the process of going to take the bottom engine deflectors off but backed out until i did a little more research to make sure nothing would be effected with the motor with them off. I did notice Bajarons comment about removing them and i totally understand that with them on the heat really has no where to go. I mean the top air vents on the upper side panels only uses wind turbulence from wind being pushed around the side air deflectors to pull heat out from the top vents.
I notice like most others, riding in 98* days the heat coming from between the seat and glove box and handlebars are extremely hot.
