I have been working on my stock exhaust with 2642 miles on the scoot. I punched three 1/2" holes
in the cat material and put it all back together. Here are somethings that have changed
by butt dyno, sound and feel.
1). Deeper sound and a nice burble when letting off gas.
2). ECO shift point indicator comes on at a slightly lower rpm.
3). When in ECO mode, will not let me shift to 6th gear until I have
reached a certain rpm. I am still playing with this one.
4). When slowing down and in ECO mode, down shifts seem to be at a slightly higher rpm.
5). Overall feel of the scoot seems to be less strain when going up thru the gears.
6). Power band seems to have moved slightly higher in rpm.
7). Spinning the rear tire has always been somewhat of a problem when pulling away
from a stop and that seems to have eased up some. Spinning the tire in low at 20 mph
seems to have increased. 3rd gear tire spin is still easy to do.
This all said, I am a 73 yr. old fart and have been on scoots since I was 9 yrs old and I am not an aggressive driver by any means. A tire spinning when you are trying to move out of some cage drivers way is not fun. A lot of what I have said may be subjective and I will continue to play with and research what is going on. It could be that the Kendra tire is not up to what the scoot can and does do. I will try to put a slightly taller tire on back when the time comes for a new tire.
This all said I do love my bike, especially the comfort, power and the 6 speed auto tranny.
