There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I know it's been asked I've search but can't find it. What are the size torx or Allen wrenches to remove my idol tank plug and my transmission drain plugs for doing an oil change. I think one is a 6 mm the other I'm un sure of??? Thanks much when I do the service I'm going to replace with gold plugs. Thanks much

The 998 RT's take a 5 and 6 mm Allen wrench. I can't say for sure about the ST's, but I would suspect that they would be the same, a 5 and 6 mm Allen.

Transmission is a 6mm Allen The oil is a T45 Torx They both tend to strip if your not careful.
My experience as well. Oil (left) Torx, transmission is a 6mm Allen. Since I do about one a week, I’m pretty sure😃

Yes it's a 998 engine I thought the two plugs were different one was Allen the other torx?. I also plan on putting gold plugs back in. Just trying to make sure I have the correct tools in my travel kit, I'm not at home and plan on doing it this weekend. Thanks much for all your help.

The '11 RT and the '13 ST are 998's therefore NOT an T45 !!

Just to be clear the OP was asking about a '14 ST which is a 998.

The T45 Torx is used on the 1330 engines.

I think the OP has the correct info now, both are 6mm Allen.
