It is also these type of people who are compelled to post negative comments on a thread that they have no interest in learning more about. This does nothing but ruin the thread for those who are wanting to learn more. I really don't understand what their malfunction is. Go create your own threads about your own wasteful interests. As a honorable man, I can promise you I won't make negative comments on your threads.

I understood your point of view completely when you admitted to owning a Prius.

We just think differently. You have your fun and we have ours. Neither is 'right' or 'evil' or wasteful. Neither will ever understand the motives of the other. It just is.

I try not to pick on the Prius drivers too much on the road. Several have gone out of their way to be snooty toward me. Have had several interesting exchanges at the gas pumps. Just FYI, No I am not ashamed to drive my GT.

Texas. Why don't you go back and reread your own post #33 in this thread. Can you tell me that is does not have an insulting tone towards people who like to use the throttle for fun?

Please read and try to remember this: If you see a thread that doesn't contain information that interests you, like in this case the information is about getting high MPG, then don't respond unless you have something positive to add. If you want to post a negative comment against a particular member who has not posted anything negative against you directly; think twice before riding that train.

I'm sure there are rules of conduct posted around here somewhere, and maybe it is time for Lamonster to step in and remind everyone what those rules are, but I'm sure those rules are something along the lines of what I have already said.

Most everyone who has internet access has been on at least one forum, so I don't believe I should have to say this in this day and age where there is a forum for everything; but when you read threads, don't take everything you read like someone is talking about you and you need to respond with negative comments about that person. If you can't control yourself enough to do that, then stay off the forums, because the forums will be better off without you.

I know JC, you're right. There are many people out there who drive Prius' that believe that no one should drive a vehicle that isn't a Prius. However, I don't mind when people are snooty to me (It is better to say nothing at all...yada yada). It is those who don't know me that feel they must approach me and tell me how to live my life. That's when they've gone one step too far. There are closed minded people on both ends of the spectrum. I've never told anyone that they need to get rid of their vehicle, no matter what MPG they get. I believe that everyone owns and drives their vehicle for their own reason, and that we should be respectful of each other. For most of my life I owned vehicles that got poor gas mileage, however in 2006 I only owned vehicles that got great gas mileage. It isn’t anyone’s business, and I did it for reasons of my own. However, the difference is that all those years when I owned poor MPG vehicles, I never had anyone approach me to say that I needed to get rid of it, sell it, or tell me to get off the road. Whereas since I have owned my Prius, I get approached by someone, in one way or another, weekly, insinuating that they don't like me or my vehicle.

What I have gathered from this information over the past several years is that a larger percentage of those who drive poor MPG vehicles are less tolerant of those who drive high MPG vehicles than the opposite.
