There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Well the Spyder is off the dollies. Waiting for the bolt that was missing from my hwy pegs to arrive tomorrow from Kuryakyn to finish up that install. I have developed a problem with the Baker Built Air Wings that I installed a few weeks ago. The double stick tape the holds the plastic bottom brackets to the chrome trim pieces is coming unstuck from the brackets. It's stuck good to the trim pieces though. I may get some tape from Autozone and if that helps. Might try some heat from a hair dryer also to see if that softens the glue. I may have to talk to them a Spyderfest if I can't get it re-stuck.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426105948.166898.jpg

At Owner's Event last year with my Baker BBuilt Wings...tried the Autozone tape..no success. Went to local body shop..showed him problem...he fixed with a spray adhesive...and no problem since...Love my BB wings and sure didn't want them getting 'ripped' off at 80 mph speeds...:yikes:

Thanks for the heads up on tape from autozone. I have some weatherstrip adhesive I may give a try. I got some of that on my hands once and took months for it to wear off.

I found a tube of 3M industrial adhesive in my drawer and used that on the nonsticking air wing. The industrial adhesive appears to be working. I put that wing back on and will see what happens tomorrow. But as usual some where between taking that wing off yesterday and putting it back on today I've lost one of the little black plastic washers. Jeez!

Well went for my first shake-down ride of 2015 this afternoon after putting a good coat of Mother's carnauba wax on the Spyder. It was supposed to be sunny and near 70* today by I never saw the sun. So no sun means it was only about 60* and I did get a couple of raindrops on the new F4 windshield which is amazing by the way. The pocket of still air is great even though it's only the stock height wide model. I hope it helps my wife in the back as much. If not I may wish I bought the tall one. Also the Baker Air Wing I had to glue on stayed in place for the short 8 miles I rode. I may have gone farther but I remembered I had forgotten to check the tire pressures before I left. Hopefully the cold front that's supposed to move in won't stick around too long.

Just a little bit of slightly more than useless information for everyone. If you hold the ALT key down and press 2 4 8 this is what you get °! Yep, that is the degree symbol. Now you can write your favorite riding temperature in completely correct format, like this 78°! This works with Windows. Don't know about Macs.

Okay I looked it up on Google.
To find the degree symbol on the virtual keyboard, launch any app that brings up the virtual keyboard. Tap on the 123 modifier to bring up the numeric and symbols keyboard and tap and hold on the 0 (zero). After a brief delay, a pop-up will appear allowing you to choose the degree symbol. While continuing to hold, simply slide your finger or thumb over to the degree symbol until it’s highlighted in blue. Release to insert the symbol at your cursor’s location.
So there you have it. I'll try to remember to use it. It's 43° today. [emoji2]

Sometimes, if not most of the time, IMO, the PC and a real keyboard are just plain easier to use! :D I find TapaTalk on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet to be a fairly efficient way to read the forum. But when it comes to writing a reply or new message, lemme get to the PC!

Ordered, received and installed the Kotts SS front grills from Spyderpops last week. That's about it until I get to Spyderfest and more farkles installed. Here's my list: TricLED front fender lighting and mirror turn signal lights, Custom Dynamics HMT with dual converter and Spyderpops lighted bumpskid. I also would like to get a laser alignment.

I did a test fit of my Spyder covers with the new stock height, wide F4 windshield today. The BRP travel cover (that actually came with my 2010 RT-S) fit okay with the shield in the full up position. I do need to get some bungees for the side tie owns that won't work with floorboards. The light nylon Tour King cover I bought last July required that the shield be lowered all the way down for the elastics to go over the mirrors. I'll keep both.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428885154.365061.jpg

I also installed the triple dash pouch I bought a couple years ago and never installed on my 2010. The Velcro seemed to stick pretty well to the dash at first but coming home on the interstate yesterday the pouches started to come loose. I stuck the Velcro back down but took the pouches off for today's ride to lunch. I will try again but will prolly need to find a way to secure the Velcro better. It's a common problem with these Big Bike pouches. I may email them. Seems to me more Velcro is needed in the front and sides of the pouches. Along with better glue.

Cold, gray, windy day but this was the day my wife decided to take her inaugural ryde with me on the 2014 RT-Ltd. she needed to get a little time in the saddle since we're leaving for Spyderfest next. The ryde was short but all systems are go for our departure at this time. Made reservations for the first two nights on the road. Reservations in Springfield at the Hampton Inn were made months ago. I just have the final route planning and loading gear we'll need into the trailer. Looks like cold start on Sunday.

It's been awhile since my last post about my adventures with my new Ltd. Spyderfest has come and gone and we successfully made the the trek there for a couple of days and back home under bright, sunny skies. It was a great trip even though we were only there for a couple of days and my back decided to go into spasms on the way there. I got most of the lighting added by TricLED but opted not to add the lighted bumpskid. The HMT will also be added later but I did get a laser alignment done by Lamont. We did get in a nice ride in the Mark Twain National Forest on Thursday and had several great meals at Re Rico , Lambert's and other places. I'm sorry we did not participate in any of the after parties at the hotels but by late afternoon my back was pretty much done in plus we needed to be back on the road for home Friday morning. Looking forward to next year.

Hopnel Dash Pouch Update:
Since returning from Spyderfest I messaged Big Bike Parts concerning the problem with the triple dash pouch Velcro that doesn't stick to the dash. They replied that they have made some improvements and if I would send a proof of purchase they would send their remedy. I did this and even though it was a couple years old they sent me a package of new Velcro pieces. They don't seem to match the the pieces on the pouch but have to see if this will resolve the "flying pouch" situation.

I ordered a Utopia backrest with the easy-out option the other day. I decided at Spyderfest against a new Ultimate seat for now. The gas filler door would be nice but the stock seat with the Airhawk pad for long trips will be okay for now. Backrest will be made and shipped on June 1 according to Bob via email. I've had a Utopia rests on all my Gold Wings and now both my Spyders. Love the adjustability and won't ride (alone) without one.
