• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT dash

ALSO THIS IS INVOLVED

Here is a picture of my dash removed: View attachment 139010 I have a 2014 RTS-SE6. Are you painting your dashboard?

...............I'm the one who took it out..... if you do so and have the gauges in your dash , have a pair of needle nose pliers handy. It's much easier to get the wire connections off with them because BRP has very short wires........ Mike

Here is a picture of the my painted dash that mike ( blueknight911 painted) with out the gauges: dashboard on spyder14RT 001.jpg and here is a picture of the painted dashboard with the gauges: dashboard on spyder14RT 004.jpg Deanna

It is very easy like DeAnna mentioned. I had mine "hydrodipped" with a carbon fiber look.

I found you have to turn the Handlebars all the way to the left to enable to get the front panel off.

No I hadn't thought of painting until I saw yours. my plan was to put a couple of yellow light up near the top either side of the little emblem for turn signals. the green ones are so hard to see if the light shines on the dash. with out self canceling its herd to tell if they turn off after a lane change etc.

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: ........ Really nice, ......... I have always been fascinated with how this process is done ..... I suppose I could find it on U-Tube ............. Mike :agree:

I installed two turn signal lights on my dash. At 11 o'clock on left and 1 o'clock on right of the gauges. Worked out great. You need a fishing wire to run to the wires on the mirror. Good luck!

( Mike, blueknight911) painted my dashboard. Good luck with the yellow lights near the top on either side of the little emblem for turn signals.

A lot of people on this site/and who have seen the dashboard in person, like my painted dash board. A shout out to Mike( Blueknight911) for painting my dashboard. Deanna

It may sound tacky to some, but I'd like to get my dash panel tarted up to look like burled elm.

(I know WrapMySpyder has some wood trim kits, but I'd prefer the whole dash panel to be simulated wood, not just the edges. Also, that's w-a-y to pricey for me.)

Baxter,
You can get various wood grains in the hydro dipping process.
Just google hydro graphics to see. I have a local company that does it and it was only $40 which included painting a silver base coat before dipping and a Matt finish clear coat afterwards.
Good luck!
