• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 CB Re-released yet?

I'm waiting in my CB too, still backordered according to my dealer earlier this week. They still have "no idea" when they will be back in production & stock... Let me know if you hear anything different! I hate not having communication with other bikes when riding with everyone...

On 4/30/14, my dealer advised that he got an answer back from BRP regarding the case he opened on my CB: "At this point we have identified the issue and are currently finalizing a fix, so it should take a few weeks before it is released. I do not have an official date at this point."
As you may know, updates to software can take a long time for testing and may not work. One of their initial tries at a fix was to install either the satellite radio module or the cell phone module (owners choice), thinking that would solve the problem. What I heard from my dealer, from the BRP tech, was that they would rather fix the problem than install a bandaid. One of my friends had the satellite radio module installed, at BRP expense; but I have not been on enough rides with him yet to come to a conclusion if it solves the problem. He does not have to get/pay for the XM service if he doesn't want it, the module must just be plugged into the harness.
In the meantime, no transmitting on my CB, just listen.

Anyone know if the BRP has " fixed" the CB problem?

At Spyderfest I spoke with one of the BRP tech guys about the CB. I haven't had a problem. In fact the friend I ride with most is impressed with the quality of my transmissions compared to my 2010 RTS. I was thinking that since I've had no problems it was "probably" OK to continue using my CB. The BRP guy agreed, but we both understand that a problem "could" appear.
