• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT Scoops on 2014 RT

:agree:It turns out the 2013s WILL end up being the best of the 998 bikes!
I always knew that, somewhere in the back of my mind. ...but somehow, I managed to keep my mouth shut when everyone was discouraging potential buyers away from the 2013 RT, even though they could be had for huge discounts. ;)

Make sure you keep your receipts. If BRP ever issues a Warranty Bulletin to install the scoops on the 2012 RT's, you should be reimbursed. Since they work so well on the 2013's, that may not be as far fetched as it sounds.

I just had the Scoops installed on my 2012 rt se5 ltd and there is a HUGH reduction in the heat around the upper leg panels and center glove box and seat.I feel no heat in those areas and hardly a warm right foot.
I would like to thank Ladysmith Motorsports here on Vancouver Island for going to bat for me.:thumbup:

Thanks! Mine was out of warranty But I mentioned the "Good Will" phrase - I will keep the CC Receipt for sure!!!
$125 was a worthwhile Donation BUT I will deduct it off my F3 Offer in Mid-October?nojoke

I didn't have to pay for the scoops or labor as BRP covered it.

Was Your Spyder still in warranty? I thought they were only Free if you had the extended warranty?

My Regular warranty ran out June 1st and I have 4 yrs best now.I have been pushing this heat issue for months and when We heard about the recall on the 13s I start asking my dealer to look into fixing our 2012.Get on your dealer to look into this for you and others as it can be covered if not call BRP yourself.

I will be at SPYDERS IN THE REDWOODS if anybody wants to look at or take a ride to compare with and without the scoops.
