I need to get the panel that goes around the left headlight off. I have the other panels off already and I have removed the 3 pins and th one screw I could find but there must be others as it wont come off. Any help?
If it's like the 2013 RT the one screw and 3 pins is your problem. You have to open things up on both left and right sides and pull the panel off forward from both headlights, hence you have both left and right screws and pins. That means you have to have an even number in your hand before you can pull it off.I need to get the panel that goes around the left headlight off. OK, that is different! Here again, if it's like the 2014, there are two clips on plastic tabs near the end of the fascia that hang down thru some slots. You'll have to look to find them and struggle to get the clips off. Then you have to lift the fascia up to free it to move it sideways. You will then probably bend the tabs over trying to put the fascia back in place, like I did! Needless to say when I was finished with my RTS, those clips did not go back! This is a picture of the panel. I mis spoke about headlights,it is the fascia around the driving lights.
Be aware that on the Spyder the horn button is in the ground circuit side of the horn. The power coming to the horn is hot all the time.So I got enough of the fasteners loose to get the panel out of the way to at least see the horn. I think I see the wire. I am hoping to find out what color the wires are that feed the horn. I can see the top of the horn but not where the wires attach

There's a rectangular connector. Lt blu w/ biege is power to the horn. Green w/ gray stripe is ground lead that goes to the horn button. That's the bike harness wire. From the connector to the horn itself red is power and black is ground.I have no pressing need to remove the stock horn,I have other places to mount the new one. Right now I need to know if I can remove the wires without pulling the frunk and what color I'm looking for. I also have a P & P wiring harness with a relay.
Thanks for your help.
