• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i get a check engine/check transmission after riding about 50 feet and somtimes she will not shift up/down.Could the linkage cause this? Oil level correct as well as properly rated for this bike. Has anyone had to replace the paddle shifter? And can I DIY? Thank you for your help.

several

i've heard of several shifter buttons being replaced. not a common problem, but not unheard of. they do fail occasionally. there is also a related sensor that can fail. the shifter buttons are not cheap. i would get a diagnosis before buying any parts. check to make sure the shifter arm is not loose.

I had to have my paddle shifter replaced on the 2010 RSS. It had the symptoms you describe. Mine was under warranty but I know it is not a cheap fix. There might be someone here who has done it though. Best of luck.
