The earliest 2010 RT's, especially the PE's had a design flaw that allowed the material at the indent to separate from the backing, eliminating the little identation that allows the seat to be comfortable. In time the material shrunk even further, making things worse. The seat was redesigned later in the model year, then again for 2011. There was a warranty bulletin describing the problem and calling for the defective seats to be replaced. If your RT is still under extended warranty replacement may still be available. I'd contact your dealer. If the Spyder is out of warranty, I'd suggest a rebuild by SpyderLovers sponsor Motorcycle Dave, an aftermarket seat, or buying a 2011 or later seat from someone who has replaced theirs with aftermarket.
