2010 RT-S Se5 clutch "seems" to have failed

bike stopped driving yesterday. Riding on the freeway at 110kph suddenly post all power. coasted to a stop and no more forward motion. Still finds first and reverse but no clunk and no motion. I can manually select all the gears using the selector crank with the engine idling. Checked oil, fuses, earths, drive cog spline etc. New to these things. Is there anything I am missing? Seems a bit strange to happen all of a sudden like this. No mechanical noises or other warning except for the engine cutting out a few times over the past week. Bike has done 102000km(60000miles).

First thing I would check is the front drive pulley. It may have come loose and stripped the splines.

That is where I would start. Hoping that it was actually something else.

I checked it - it's tight and secure.

The bolt being 'Tight and Secure' does not mean the shaft is not spinning inside the pulley with stripped splines on the output shaft. Easily checked.

Well this is the culprit. All other clutch components are in good condition and within spec. Certainly unexpected.

Looks to be the clutch hub. Part # 420659750. About a $90 fix, if that's all that is wrong. Need to know where the missing parts are. Hopefully no other damage. But you need to find out why it failed. Good work!

Clutch hub. Sits inside the clutch basket. Steel plates engage it and fibre plates engage basket.
